The only thing I can think of is that when I get hiking and I am in new places I often tend to nominate wayspots from two different sides so I have two nominations for the case that my validate wayspot will be rejected (you have that often by the community). Is that not allowed? What does the E-Mail from Niantic mean? Will I get banned or get a strike? Right now I am confused a little bit.

Seem like an educational mail for me. You won’t get a strike for that reason.

Would be nice to know exact because they write they take action against me and the reason is not precise enough to prevent further educational mails.

Hi,
Can I check my understanding of your practice in submitting.
On a hike when you are at a trail marker you create 2 submissions for the one marker at the same pin position?
The idea being there are high odds on rejection so 1 is a real submission and the other a back up/ reserve ?

Do you put the back up on hold to await the outcome of the first? With the intention to withdraw if the first one gets approved?

It wasn’t on hold both were on voting that is the reason why I think I got the warning. If thats correct I will do it differentely the next time. I just wanted to know if that is correct why I got an educational E-Mail. If yes I would go through my nominations again and will take them back on hold.

Thanks for clarifying.
And yes do change your practice. I have done this before had one on hold and then withdrawn or released once the first one has resolved.

So it would be good to be clear about this email, hopefully a member of the wayfarer team will clarify.

If its strike, you will receive something like this(warning or suspension)

I got nothing like this so this is not a strike or a ban as it seems

Hey @dieterpizza ,

:100:

This was for submitting multiple Wayspots for the same object simultaneously.

I have on occasion subbed a POI twice at the same time. I immediately put both on hold and only release one of them, holding the other back in case the first one is rejected.

One was a 2-hour bus journey away and specifically to plug a hole in the drone network. If you know, you know

Thank you very much for the clarification. I will check my nominations and will put the duplicates on hold but some are already in voting. I will also tell my family members since we nominate lots of markers together.

I do the same for some nominations that I know will have trouble going through or if I can’t go back there. The hold function defenitely is a big help in these situations.
