4 mails in a row. And i did not do anything anywhere!?!?!
Only thing i did that thay was submitting changes to the name in 2 pokemon stops who had worng names. I took a picture of the signs with the correct names and made the change and now i’m a spammer?
I think more that Wayfarer is hacked. Has anyone else received something similar?

Thanks for the appeal, Explorer. I see that the photo you have submitted is not of the wooden statue connected to this Wayspot. Please note that trying to repurpose/hijack a Wayspot is a violation of our policies and could lead to sanctions.

Can not be a wayfarer, must be spam mails?
Welcome to the forum @Draculadk
I notice you haven’t shared screenshots of the actual edits you were trying to make to these locations, and instead have only sent pictures of the objects and a map. Having looked at the location, it appears you may have uploaded the picture of the map to one of the wayspots, which would be considered a bad edit as the map is not the wooden statue that the wayspot represents. If this is the case, it’s likely what has alerted the team to your edits and resulted in the emails you’ve received.
If the statues have incorrect names, then the correct procedure is to just submit a title edit to correct the name, and if the edit is rejected, then you can use an appeal and submit additional information (such as a link to a picture of the map showing that the title is wrong) in your supporting statement on your appeal.

These two photos are not of the same thing:
and the name of the wayspot refers to the statue, so the map photo shouldn’t be there. It should be removed.
If you were in good faith trying to upload the map photo to prove what the actual name of the sculpture is, then I would recommend that you reply to the email and explain this.

Hi hankwolfman
Thank you for your reply. But I think you are wrong. This is much more.
."You have violated the following policies: Incorrect or spam edits. "
Content, ote that any further violations can lead to more severe enforcement on your Wayfarer and Niantic game account(s). "
"Policy Violated: Incorrect or spam edits "
And this:
I had to put the sign on, its stand beside the statue. I was denied to change the name on the statue without any proff, so the picture is a sign that is beside the statue. There was no other way. The sign is here: https://www.google.com/maps/@54.6691584,11.9539903,3a,15y,36.87h,80.34t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sULHZ01MpyZBHJyXW4xiEsg!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D9.658694369116162%26panoid%3DULHZ01MpyZBHJyXW4xiEsg%26yaw%3D36.865955920577974!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTAwOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
There is no other way to proff that the name i give is the correct one, When your change was denied.
And for edit the name to the correct titel i got this:
“hanks for the appeal, Explorer. I see that the photo you have submitted is not of the object connected to this Wayspot. Please note that trying to repurpose/hijack a Wayspot is a violation of our policies and could lead to sanctions.”
What the f… i live 140 km from there. I was there on vacetion.
This is way more than a wrong picture, this is somebody wery angry or some has hacked Wayfarer to do stupid things of the users.
Hi Cyndiepooh
Thats not the problem. They say by change the title i tries to highjack a pokemon stop and puttet a warning og on my Pokemon go account. This is way more than a worng picture
Only thing i dig was adding the picture to proff the name on the statue and you can see that the map points to the statue according to Google maps. Its the same area.
Who do i prove the name without the sign with the names on the statues?
Your warning was for submitting an incorrect edit. The photo of the map is not a photo of the statue, so Niantic are right to state that you submitted an incorrect edit.
The new photo function is only to be used to submit new photos of the object that the wayspot represents (in this case the statue). The map is a separate object that isn’t the statue, so trying to add the picture of it to the statue wayspot was wrong (even though it got accepted). I can understand why you did it, as you thought it might help with the name change, but unfortunately that still doesn’t make it right.
I can see they rejected the appeal to change the title. I don’t know what your statement was when you appealed, but if you included evidence that proved the title is what you were trying to change it to (such as a web link to an article about the statue that includes its name, or a link to the picture of the map that’s hosted on a website like imgur), then the appeal reviewer did make a clear mistake by rejecting the title appeal, and this should be rectified by a member of the team, as you can see from the map what the correct title is. The team should also remove the photo of the map from the wayspot as it shouldn’t have been accepted in the first place.
Maybe @NianticAaron or @NianticAtlas can help clear this up. I’m assuming that the warning you got for this is just a friendly educational email and that it’s not anything more severe. It does seem like you made a genuine mistake with how you were trying to submit evidence to show that the title edit was valid, so hopefully you do learn from this that you got it wrong and that in future, uploading incorrect images to the wayspot isn’t the right thing to do. If it is something more severe, I think that’s harsh and maybe the team can have it removed from your record, though that might be something better discussed via a DM with one of them.
If you ever have a legitimate title edit rejected on appeal again, you can post it here on the forum and potentially get the appeal overturned.

For information the account warning notice means it’s not an “educational” email.

i was just about to type that i agreed with everything except that part - ty - i have received those educational emails but have not had the pop up on the site warning.
Hello and welcome,
Yes, these are real emails from Niantic; I think it Wayfarer would have been hacked, we’d all be having an issue like this and talking about it. Niantic emails come from email addresses ending in @nianticlabs.com, so it’s another way to check to see if the email you received is valid.
If you haven’t yet, you are welcome to submit a suspension appeal; this should have been a link in the emails received, but it can be accessed online here (at the bottom of the page):
