The wayspot that removed is belongs to TRT Turkish Radio and Television Corporation. And it’s a museum for Istanbul Radio. This wayspot should return back to the wayspot network.
The Wayspot, which acts as a museum has a tiny auditorium (last picture) across its entrance as well, which serves as a small gathering area.
From other nearby Wayspots and Google Maps tags, it can easily be seen that this complex houses many studios, photo galleries and a museum.
Please reinstate the Wayspot in question as there is no discernable reason why it was removed in the first place other than malicious intent with false information.
This wayspot was accepted by niantic and somehow got removed. It is in the building of TV8 and other faction does not have access to it. Everyday at least 300-400 people can reach that spot so it’s not in a private area. I added another photo with 10 ppl can be seen.
Please restore the portal with it’s LINKS, and investigate who in niantic removed that portal and with what intend. Thanks a lot
I dont even understand why this portal is closed… TRT is country’s National television channel, and this area contains many useful information about its cultural heritage via labels that are professionally designed by curators. People come in here ocasionally to learn about the history of the Turkish Television. Reinstating this portal will help to enrich the community in cultural manner.
why would such a wayspot be removed? As other users have written, it was a wrong decision, misguided by agents who filed a complaint for a malicious purpose.
Reconsider this decision and put an end to a big mistake. Then it won’t be so easy to deceive the community. Only the greater number should not be right.
The truth will come out in the end.
Although the Wayfarer team will surely look at this appeal and render a ruling, I do not believe they’d be able to restore any lost links or fields. You may need to reach out to Ingress support after this appeal is resolved if you want links restored , although I don’t know if they’d be able to help.
TRT is what is BBC to the Great Britain and as can be seen from the photos submitted, this place is a museum displaying artifacts since the foundation of the TRT institution. Removing of the portal seems not fair considering the Niantic guidelines; please do bring back/reinstate this portal.
It’s possible that there’s an explanation for the removal that isn’t malicious. Perhaps the management of the building made a request to remove the Wayspot?
There are other wayspots in the area. It’s a museum and does not affect any operation there, also I’m the only employee in that campus. So it’s malicious by other faction, because links from/to there interrupts their links.
