Additional Information (if any):
This wayspot is a research institute. It is a building where fairs , projects and research competitions are organized, especially for high school and university students. It is open to public access. I think instead of playing the game and destroying a field, enemy players prefer sending fake reports. I am adding photos of fairs, projects and garden-building appearance. If you need any additional information, please let me know.
I understand your frustration, but remember that it is also possible that the institution asked for the game location to be removed. I don’t see any other portals there. Accusing the other team does not help your case.
If you have evidence that someone is submitting fake reports, you can report that to help chat or through the reporting abuse form linked at the top here: Reporting Abuse in Wayfarer — Wayfarer Help Center
Staff will get back to you if they need more evidence.
Stop sharing random people photos from there. These photos are stock from website or google. Look at this people, all of them using name tag, cause this place not for random people or not opened public. You are just abusing the wayfarer system and opened random illegal portal around the city.
Repeat, this portal not public and these photos only using by brands.
It was claimed the opposing team did not destroy that portal. Yet, some opposing team players (including myself) did capture the portals outside of the institution. Since we can come and capture the portals around the institution, yet it is claimed “public access,” what is stopping us from claiming that portal too?
Looking at the photos, isn’t it strange that no one has phones? Yet, there is no clear evidence that these photos were taken by phones or using a photograph machine and taken by an institution, or by the players, or by someone else. Also, since it was claimed as “public access,” it wonders me why everyone in the photo has ID cards on their necks.
The claimant claims the opposing team did report the portal to shut it down. According to my report, which is linked above, there is no official response from Niantic, which means the report is not concluded. But the portal is removed from the system anyway. This has nothing to do with our reports because we are already rejected from our report from the in-game report feature (a screenshot is also attached in my report), yet our appeal is not concluded.
This forum expects all members to respect each other.
Speculation about why a wayspot removal was requested that involves references to game play is not helpful.
The Wayfarer Team will in due course make a decision.
