Hi community
With the upcoming transition to Scopely a new era will begin.
Will it be a chance for change?
With my May thread I want to invite you to dream a while.
What would you change if you would be asked?
In hope of a little structure I ask you to:
- tag your comment with #nomination flow, #review flow or #forum flow
- If you like an idea please not repost, give it a

- only one idea per post (for the thumbs

Letâs dream together (Wayfarer related)

I want either to be able to reject for just not meeting criteria in the review flow, or have the separated âDistinctâ reason clearly indicate that it is to be used for nominations which are not significant in their environment such as infrastructure.

I want to suggest a better location while reviewing a location edit.

Get rid of the âyou have to be standing right on top of the wayspot requirementâ

Change the wording during nomination to note that the supporting photo should include both the POI and the surrounding area in it, not just the surrounding area.

What would you suggest instead of pinning on the point of interest? What are you looking to accomplish with this suggestion?

Well the only people who ever said you have to be standing directly on top of the wayspot, were Ingress players, so they could deploy ultra strikes or something. If there is a statue, letâs say, at a miniature golf place, located in a very shallow, narrow strip of water, that you technically cannot stand right on, but is still within arms reach, it should qualify.

I donât think this is correct, and may be a bit misleading. Location accuracy is extremely important for the map, so if in your example the pin was placed outside of where the statue was, it could be considered an inaccurate location, or even manipulation of the map.
Wayfarer is game agnostic; an example would be that game play shouldnât be considered when nominating and/or reviewing, but instead whether or not criteria is met for map inclusion. The games have their own density/inclusion rules that are separate from the map, as well as their own perimeter rules as to how close you hace to be to a game play location in order to interact. Wayfarer doesnât control these aspects, as Wayfarer just provides the map for the games to choose game play locations from.

I am not sure what category is this. Maybe #forum flow
Definitely about wayfarer but Its not directly related to nomination and review process. But i hope wayfarer is able to improve whole " appealed remove poi - removal poi" war process. Its ridiculous and frustrating to deal with poi that repeatedly removed and appealed to reinstate multiple times.

Was just thinking, in all honesty, id give the oprion for upgrades to be changed to appeals, i have a few things still waiting in queue, i dint really mind if they dknt get checked any time soon as they arent places i go often (yes i know, selfish) and have enough waypoint around. But i have a lot of waypoints rhat i think jeed to be appealed and not enough appeals to cover lol
Dont know what floe rhis would come under, maybe review?

Id also like to change the 3 criteria requirements slightly. I know explore has tk do a lot of lifting, as it covers informaruon signs, art etc. Which is why id like a 4th criteria to be arts/educational. A lot of pwople dont want to explore to see a painting or read an info sign, so having a seperate criteria, maybe even called learning, would allow info signs and art to fit in
Edit, coukd have the 4th one be cultural, that way things thay are iconic to a country, like red phone boxed or postboxes in britian, cpupd also come under that

I believe wat @KangarooPeek is saying is the waypoint should be pinned correctly but you shouldnât have to stand on it when playing.
Think sculpture on the middle of a traffic island. Unsafe to have to walk up and touch but with PoGo could be safely played from around the traffic island.

As simple as a marker in the database that shows that the waypoint as already had a removal & re-install. Highlight this if it gets another removal request so staff know to look at previous.

I donât do a massive number of nominations so 2 appeals is ok for me but it always seems wrong that you donât get them back imediately on a succesful appeal, you still have to wait the 20 days.
