Multiple Approved Wayspots Not Syncing

I am writing to report a synchronization issue in the general area around coordinates
40.851744, 29.313276.

Over the past few weeks, I have received approvals for 8 new wayspots that I submitted in this vicinity. Most of these approved wayspots appear to be the only wayspot in their respective cells.
Despite receiving the approval confirmations several days/weeks ago, none of these 8 wayspots have synced into Pokemon GO. This has resulted in several cells in this area remaining dead in Pokemon GO, when they should now contain a Pokestop.

Action Request:

Could a member of the Niantic team (@NianticAaron ) please investigate this issue? We kindly request a manual sync or a fix for these cells so that these 8 new Pokestops can rightfully appear in-game as intended. Please let me know if I need to share any other information. Thanks in advance.

Below is a list of the approved wayspots:

Welcome to the forums and good luck.

I’m getting a slight sense of deja vu from this location. I vaguely remember a thread recently and it was established that a location /used/ to be sensitive (military?) and was geoblocked, but the cause of the geoblock was no longer valid and it needed to be removed. I don’t remember the outcome.

Is that this location? Was this location previously a military location? (It’s empty on Ingress and has a ā€œnewā€ look on the ā€˜satellite’ images).

Hi, thanks for the welcome. I’m new to Wayfarer in general and moved here recently so I don’t have any information regarding a past military situation. Currently this place is a sports park with kids playgrounds, football(soccer) and basketball courts, running tracks and gym equipment.

I hope I can get a positive result from these submissions and start spinning pokestops while I’m running around.

Hi, @Baris1 thank you for bringing this location to our attention. Welcome to the Wayfarer Community Forum.
I have made some adjustments to the location. Once the changes get synced, you should see the eligible Wayspots appear in the Niantic games.

Nice result - it may take a couple of days for the wayspots to appear, so don’t expect them to appear immediately.

Looks like a good area to populate and you got to christen it  Wayfaring can be fun and get addictive.

Knowing how Pokemon Go decides which wayspots appear as pokestops/gyms can be useful, because for some wayspots you have a legitimate choice of locations, some of which would be blocked and some of which would be available. For wayspots which no choice of location, it doesn’t matter about the inclusion rules, because misplacing something to make it appear is abuse.

If you want to know about the inclusion rules (it’s about S2 cells) or have a map of the cell boundaries here, please say

Hi @NianticOren thanks for the quick fix and reply. Now that the sync has happened, 2 out of the 8 approved wayspots have been added to pokemon go. From what I can tell trying to look at an S2 map, I believe 4 or possibly 5 of the other 6 approved ones should also be in empty cells, could another adjustment be required in order to activate that group of cells? Maybe the rest are in a different S17(?) cell, I’m not very sure about the process.

The locations of the other 6 are as follows, not sure if I had to share all but they are all right next to each other.

Thanks a lot for your help, have a nice day/night.

This image shows the level-17 S2 cells in that area. Each level-17 cell can only have one pokestop/gym. Other wayspots may become powerspots. This may help you establish which of your approved wayspots should be visible and if there is still a problem with the cells.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried to mark the submission locations on the image you provided, green being the 2 sycned ones and red are the other 6. If I remember the exact locations correctly, then I believe 3 of them should become Pokestops, as there are no other Pokestops nearby. I think we should get one pokestop for the leftmost one, one for the rightmost one, and one for the three in the middle. Sorry for the low quality image.

Could be caused by another dead cell possibly?

That certainly looks like you should have a further three pokestops/gyms, with the three remaining wayspots being used as powerspots. If all the approvals were more than a few days ago, then it looks like you still have dead cells. Wait a day and see what happens?

I agree. Forgot to mention that the 2 waystops that were added to Pokemon go are actually some of the most recent approvals, 5 of the other 6 were approved before them that’s why I thought it may be another cell issue.

This was misplaced. I have corrected the location. Once synced, it should appeear in eligible Niantic games.
