Sync bug: Approved Wayspots not appearing in game

Hello,

Several points I submitted through Wayfarer have been approved, but none of them are showing up in Pokémon GO.

I know the S2 L17 cell rules, and these new points are in completely empty cells. There are no other PokéStops or Gyms sharing the same square. It looks like a map sync bug.

Hello everyone, I have the same issue. Four Wayspots were approved. All four appear on the Wayfarer map, but only one is in-game and the other three haven’t shown up. It has already been more than 72 hours.

Can someone possibly show me the post that explains how the syncing works? Since all four spots were submitted at the same time and were approved almost simultaneously.

All of these Wayspots are located in a cell that had not been used before.

What confuses me the most is that the Wayspot which was approved and is already in-game is not marked as “in-game” on the Wayfarer map. It seems like the synchronization isn’t working properly.

re your last paragraph. The Wayfarer map displayed status is not 100 percent accurate to the Pokemon Go in game status. I have noticed that new stops often do not show as “in game” for up to 48 hours after they populate in game. I have similarly seen discrepancies when a pokestop has been converted into a gym.

Those co-ordinates do not line up with anything on the map so it may have been moved during review, what is the name of the nomination?

Assuming the nomination is one of those in the cell there are a couple of others that are not showing, possible “Property Owner Request”?

Hey @Neo127,

Thank you for submitting a Wayspot nomination!

While some nominations may be deemed eligible by the community of reviewers on Niantic Wayfarer for inclusion into Niantic’s location database, they may not necessarily be added into every Niantic game. After a nomination is approved by reviewers, there is an additional automated review that determines whether the nomination is an appropriate fit for each particular Niantic game. Each game has their own set of criteria for this step, so some nominations may be accepted into one game but not another.

The most common reason that an eligible nomination is not added to Pokémon GO is because the nomination is too close to existing PokéStops or Gyms. If an existing game location is removed or the criteria changes, the nomination may appear within Pokémon GO at a later time.

Please keep in mind that while this is a common reason, it is not the only one.

Best,
