It does not matter how long the wayspot was there for or if it was recognized by the whole community.
We are taking the current criteria in mind in all cases. Yes, It might be a bit harsh from me and @salixsorbus to immediately request removal, but we are following the criteria. And this wayspot should have never been there.
If you mean with pathway signals, trail makers, those are perfectly eligible because they follow a set trail which encourages exploration.
The other forum members have made some excellent (replacement) wayspots that would improve your overall experience. Please take that advise.
