I submitted a nomination for a football field. It went into review by niantic reviewers (with the little niantic balloon icon). I had my pin originally placed on the goal of the football field. My nomination was accepted but the pin appears to have been moved to the corner of the football field.
It was my understanding that we are not meant to move the pin for a wayspot away from an eligible spot even if the new location would be equally eligible or even a better location.
I’m not asking for the pin for my nomination to be moved back, I’m just seeking clarification regarding pin placement and moving pins.

I myself would not have chosen the goal as I wouldn’t want to be that close to ‘the action’ if people were using the field. I would have chosen a corner or sideline. Likely based on the natural entrance if there was one. That said though, I am a bit surprised that a staff member moved it.
Would you be willing to share your nomination and the location. Preferably the latitude and longitude that was in the thank you email after you submitted.
Regarding the clarification, I’m not sure I fully understand. Should we be rejecting nominations for football fields where the pin is not on the side? Or is this more of a recommendation?
The pin should not be in the field of play. I do understand why they moved the pin. As a reviewer you can suggest a new location on the perimeter of the field instead of rejecting completely.
