First of all the timestamp does not match anything I’ve submitted, second; it does not mention what submission violates the rules. Third; the policy listed as being violated make absolutely no sense either. “Policy Violated: Generic very low severity offense” what?
It’s safe to say I will never do any edit challenges again, this is the 2nd time during the challenge you send me stuff like this and the first time you put a warning on my account (this was thankfully removed after an appeal).
They are very quick to cry abuse, like in my previous case they couldnt see the change on streetview and assumed it must be abuse. I sent them many photos and videos proving it’s not.
It is possible to simply reject an edit if you cant find it, it’s not automatically abuse.
Ive seen said that the time stamp isnt working correctly and reflects when the email was sent…which obviously isnt very helpful but means you can ignore that part. Would be nice if these emails were fixed and changed to be more accurate and descriptive.
Hello @shranda
There have instances of glitches in the system where the date and time has been wrong, and it looks as though the example is also missing.
I agree it is stressful not knowing what has caused this to be issued. @NianticAaron@NianticAtlas can either of you help with this please.
I am also moving this to the general discussion area.
Because I got the same warning today, after explaining to the first person that reached out, I explained what was going on with my edit. And then I got another email today and the message popped up on pogo.
from a culture perspective, Niantic staff must be deeply troubled by the negative impact of these seemingly unjustified distress-inducing emails on their community.
So to add context to my comment to the thread in question. Whilst I have been nominating and reviewing on and off for a while, I am by no means experienced or proficient compared to various others who use this community forum who are far more knowledgeable than myself. Without knowing specific violations, there is no way for us to know if adding a period, an apostrophe or even capitalisation on a few or many Wayspots will trigger the warning. We don’t even know if some of the Wayspots have certain phrasing that could result in a trigger. I’m not going to lose sleep over it, but there are questions I would have that I know we may not get answers for.
