I would think, at a minimum, that it is very easy to agree the actual baskets should not be POIs due to unsafe pedestrian access. Those baskets are targets; things are being thrown at them. That’s not a place for groups of people (not players on the course) to randomly gather.

Niantic have confirmed that the baskets are not safe as wayspots. I really wish they could educate the removal reviewers to correctly handle the easy reports like this.

I agree that it’s frustrating that when these are reported through the game/map the review team denies them. We end up having to take it to the forum to get removed.

Interestingly I reported these same frisbee golf baskets 2 days ago and the reports were denied. I just hadn’t had time to pull together all the coordinates for a post. So big thanks to @rawwrs.

As someone who has accidentally sent my younger brother to the hospital to get stitches from a disc to the forehead because I couldn’t see him over a hill i threw it over and had no idea he was there (he also took it like a champ and has no ill feeling towards me), I can attest to disc golf baskets being at least a little unsafe to have a wayspot at. I always reject the baskets if they show up in my feed.
