Hello all,

I think ML sees a handrail and a wall. I’m not sure it is processing what is inside that. I try very hard when I’m nominating to make sure that nothing is in front of the main thing I want ML (or the reviewers) to focus on. But this is all just conjecture as none of us really know how the ML model works.
I’m curious about the rejuvenating abilities of this area
A picnic area is more green with trees an so on. It’s difficult to see it as such an area - and the image looks like computer generated. It could also be an area of a generic business.
I don’t use that word, but I agree with the concept. I often describe outdoor break areas as places that help office workers clear their minds and get fresh air. I typically add that it can be a place to network with people who work in different departments, which is part of socializing.
For years I ate lunch in our cafeteria with a group of coworkers from many different departments. It was a great way to connect and stay updated on what was going on outside of my little bubble. But since moving into a more demanding department, I find they don’t have as much respect for protecting a lunch break and schedule meetings during lunch. Sometimes that can’t be helped. But I really miss the connections I was able to foster when I was more deliberate about eating with others.
Thanks for all the advice, I’ll try to get a better picture of just the benches. I must have really bad photography skills if it looks computer generated! I’ll spice up the description too to emphasize it’s socially skills and down play it’s rejuvenation abilities.
I don’t think all picnic areas need to be in a park. There are many urban areas that have groupings of picnic tables. But I do agree that there are distracting elements in the photo.
Honestly, be prepared for this not to be accepted. Several of my locals really like these kinds of break areas, yet I still have trouble getting them to pass. I’ve had to appeal most of mine. But if I’ve written the original and the appeal statements thoughtfully, I can usually avoid the “just a regular” appeal rejection reason.
