Picnic table got rejected

I can’t figure out why it got rejected.

Is there a way to find the reason provided for rejection? It is a picnic table on a campus next to a dormitory. I took the photos myself.

Description: This well maintained table is commonly frequented by college students looking to enjoy the outdoors. It is surrounded by trees, bushes, and mulch.

Title: Commons Dorm Picnic Table

Supplementary: This space is very often frequented by college students and is mildly hidden in a cozy well-maintained area, making it a great Pokestop spot. It is public, easily accessible, and a great hang out spot.

Please share complete detail about your nomination (title, foto, loc, information) if you wish other wayfarer to comment.

Is it visible from satelite / street view? Without them, reviewer might have doubt about its location

Welcome to the forum!

You will find the rejection reason on your contribution itself, on your contributions page https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/nominations

Yes it’s visible through satellite view, however it’s not there at all on street view. Street view photos must be out of date.

It said "This submission was declined by Niantic’s automated process for not adhering to Wayfarer criteria ". Is it because I said it was mildly hidden or something? I meant that it’s cozy in the trees

Noone but staff know how AI rejection work. What you can do is try getting new foto and resubmit or appeal.

I am surprised that the Machine Learning model rejected this. I would recommend taking a couple of steps back to give a little more context about the Picnic Area for your main photo. But not very much further. I would also back up a little for the supporting photo to give more clues about where this exist in real life.

If you would rather use an appeal, we get 2 appeals, each on a 15 day counter before we can use it again. I make no promises about whether they will say this is just a normal table or whether they will see it as a great place to be social, as I do. I would first try a new submission with a new photo.
