Please remove these Confederate grave markers

So first off, these are 2 wayspots representing the same object so at least one of them has got to go.

But more importantly, they celebrate someone who fought against our country and the main image for one of them includes the Confederate battle flag. Please remove these inappropriate wayspots from the gameboard

Thank you for spoiler covering that, and now I know it can be done. I thought Confederate memorials were easy removals.

No… I’ve repeatedly tried to get several Confederate “monuments” removed, but Niantic refuses every time. Hopefully a public post on the forums will go better :person_shrugging:

Yeah this one in particular isn’t even the type of monument they removed en masse so i’m not sure how it will go. Instead it’s “grave of random person” which should go for other reasons but of course that’s not possible. Hopefully in this case the duplicate plus what seems like clear intent in the photo on one is sufficient. But niantic has not followed through with some of the follow up actions promised after initially removing many confederate monuments so we will see.

Actually I have 3 more for which I never received rejection emails as it was during the time those were not being sent out last month but i have to assume by now my reports were rejected.

The second two are just random grave markers, not eligible to begin with. And the nominator decided to emphasize the connection with the confederacy.

Thank you, I can see that 4 of the 5 reported in this thread have been removed but one is still live on the Lightship map and it’s the most egregious of the lot. Niantic Lightship
