Thanks for the appeal, @EinSpieler01 We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.
sadly… this was really clear for me
I think it’s worse than that. I don’t think Scopely cares about the data it provides. It’s leftover from before the split.
That’s extremely likely. It is however correct to say it gathers data for Scopely even if they do nothing with it ![]()
I don’t like the new map with all its options for removing PokéStops that don’t belong to you.
The system (AI) randomly accepts these requests and removes existing Wayspots that are clearly visible in Street View at the exact location specified in Pokémon. What’s the point of that?
- Harassment?
- An attempt to force people to buy items?
If there really is going to be a reorganization by the game, then I wonder why almost all PokéStops are being removed first and no Wayspots are being added at intersections/junctions, etc.? For those of us in rural areas, the game is currently almost not worth playing anymore.
Either the individual PokéStops are too far apart, so there is no longer any flow to the game (there are almost no Pokémon left to catch in our area), or entire areas have been cleared. We have already deleted our community with the meetups because we now have to drive to get to arenas when there is a raid hour. With only one arena, it is no longer worth playing.
If the goal of the new owners of Niantic is to make us not want to play anymore, then they have almost succeeded, so keep up the good work. The discontent in the individual villages is currently growing enormously and more and more players are considering quitting (even those with level 80!).
I am not going to state that Niantic always get it right but all removal reports are assessed and action taken when it believe it should be.
If wayspots have gotten in to the game in the past that shouldn’t then it is correct that they should be removed.
For advice on Rural areas take a look at https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/t/tips-for-rural-nominators
Alternatively, start a new thread, state your general location (do not use your accurate home address) and people will take a look and advise on suitable nominations.
Good Luck.
Hello,
I understand your frustration at the removal of wayspots but some things you have said are wrong.
As a general point the wayspots “belong” to Niantic. They are not anybody’s - I know I get Rata he dtonthe ones I make, but I have to set that aside.
There is no system to auto accept removals. Every removal report is looked at by a human, who assess the evidence presented. They can accept or reject report. They may correct the location they may remove the wayspot. It is an individual decision.
If anyone is found to be malicious falsely reporting they can be subject to sanctions.
If you believe that the removals are malicious you can report that with evidence.
As long as you are level 35 you can participate in wayfarer. If there is a lack of new wayspots now is the time to understand what is acceptable and get exploring, and submitting. That is down to individual players. I would have thought the loss of pokestops would be a good motivator to find new things?
The addition of street corners as the announcement clearly states is an experiment. As with all experiments it will need to run its course to see what the future is.
If the game play is impacted you have to adapt. If you are down to one gym then that sounds an area easy to trigger a few more gyms.
I often visit areas that have very little and as gym is triggered by only needing 2 or 6 in a level 14 I find it easy to make 3 or 4 gyms.
Yes it’s hard but since evidence was presented about the removed stops it shows that you were probably playing in a set up that shouldn’t have existed.
If you stick to Niantic’s guidelines: encourages movement, meeting place, culturally significant (for the area), and topics from the community center are removed, real existing points, then I don’t understand it and it’s not comprehensible.
In the city, “painted house walls” or stucco ornaments or coats of arms are accepted, but not here… No one can explain this logically, it’s just the way it is. And no, removing Pokestops does not encourage people to create new Pokestops, because the existing points are “burned” in the system and cannot be set again. This seemingly pointless action by Niantic is currently getting on our last nerve and contributing to the fact that we in our communities are all on the verge of quitting because it’s pointless. Why pointless? Reason: A fellow player lost everything in her vicinity and set up new PokéStops two weeks ago (verifiably existing) and they were approved. One week later, they were removed again…??? Is this fun? Does this encourage people to add new PokéStops??? With this approach, Niantic is currently shooting itself in the foot and we are already thinking about which game we want to play instead.
For anything that exists and meets criteria you can request reinstatement.
You simply need up to date photos with the geolocation data to prove they exist and at those locations, and if needed for any one location some additional evidence to show it is suitable.
This topic started with one posted and it was explained why this does not meet eligibility and an outcome given ( posts 1-20)
You have now commented that it is much wider. So if these are to be considered you will need to post the requests with evidence.
The community has already made some suggestions for other submissions.
Your fellow wayfinders are happy to help but perhaps you need time to consider,.
Der ist jetzt netterweise komplett entfallen, danke an die Bewerter
Was ist komplett entfallen?
