Is anyone else medal totals not going up when they have had a pokestop accepted mine says 8 in game but on here it’s say 26
Hi @bigbaldyphil85
Your ingame medal in Pokémon Go is for reviewing agreements while your wayfarer rating is good or excellent.
Your accepted nominations didn’t count into that medal but although congratulations ![]()
When you start Reviewing on Wayfarer your ranking is Good. So you earned 8 Agreements (your vote matched the majority 8 times). After that your Wayfarer ranking dropped, so the Agreements you earned after that did not go towards your Pokemon Go medal.
Your own Nominations have nothing to do with the Wayfarer medal in Pokemon Go.
So how do I get my ranking up as I am doing them daily but not moving on fair
Make sure you take your time and evaluate each submission fully. Reject submissions that need rejecting, but don’t reject the ones that are eligible and well presented. Don’t rush. If you are accepting everything, that is a problem.
Hey,
Here are a few tips to help you review more effectively and maintain your performance rating:
- Follow the criteria while reviewing nominations, we recommend keeping the eligible and ineligible criteria pages open in a different browser tab for easy access.
- Take your time and review each segment on its own merit. Read this article for tips on how to review each section: Niantic Wayfarer
- Avoid using third party tools/plugins or depending on others to decide on how you vote on a nomination.
Best regards,
Judging by your agreements numbers, you are probably being too eager to accept things that aren’t valid. That’s just a hypothesis as you have many more Acceptance agreements than Rejection agreements.
I’ve consistently maintained “Great” ratings, so I’d like to share some tips that worked for me:
High Confidence: If a nomination clearly meets the criteria and the location is accurate, I definitely give it a high rating
Uncertainty: If I’m unsure about something (e.g., cannot verify location), I prefer using the ‘I don’t know’ options rather than guessing. However, if it’s clearly ineligible, I reject it immediately.
Flexibility: I try not to be overly strict or ‘nitpicky’. For nominations with very minor errors—like a person visible far in the background, or the pin being off by just 5-6 meters—I still vote to approve (and I will manually move the pin to the correct location to help them).
Avoid Speeding (Added): I never rush. I take my time to look at the surrounding area. Reviewing too fast can trigger the system to flag you as a bot, dropping your rating.
Check for Duplicates I always check the map carefully for existing Wayspots. Marking a ‘Duplicate’ correctly counts as an agreement and helps improve your rating.
I like this list, but I think these days we need to also address:
Check for AI/Third Party Photos: Examine the photo to make sure it was taken by the submitter. If the quality appears too high, this can be an indication that it was taken from a third party source. If the quality appears too grainy or the image is too small, this can also indicate a third party source. If there are telltale signs of AI (many places will explain what these are), use an AI detection website to help your analysis.
