I have nominated a pokestop, which got approved and it has been a week and a half and it still is not appearing on the pokemon go game, even tho the email said it will take ip to 48hours but its been a week and a half. My friend have submitted a pokestop same time and after approval it was in the game already. What is taking so long?

Not every wayspot gets used by Pokemon Go. You are submitting wayspots for wayfarer which is used by Scopely Explore games, despite the process in Pokemon Go telling you that you are submitting a Pokestop, which is very misleading and it would be nice if Scopely could correct this.
if you want to know specifically why your wayspot hasn’t appeared, please post the coordinates (which you can find below the photos in the submission receipt email) ![]()
Hello and Welcome,
This explains the most common reason…
Good Luck
I agree, lately people have been a bit snobby on here

Maybe you could elaborate more on your concerns? I’m not sure that I understand.
folks here answered the original poster’s question, unfortunately not all accepted wayspots meet Pokemon Go (or the others games) inclusion rules. It has nothing to do with being snobby.
Then why are some basic signs getting through? Then some random sign somehow gets into the game, it just seems like people pick what they want ![]()
It’s hard to say without seeing examples. Criteria has changed over time and sometimes things get through that shouldn’t.
I’d suggest starting your own thread where we can discuss specific examples.
