Hi, I have a question. How can I get someone to approve my PokeStop?
Hello, I moved your comment to its own thread.
Wayfarers will review your nomination when it comes up in their queue, we can’t select to review your nomination specifically. The review period can take several weeks.
Please do ask any other questions in this thread.
In my case, I don’t know how some of you can approve my pokestop, even though I’m new, I don’t know.
Submissions are first reviewed by eMiLy to remove garbage submissions, then they enter the voting pool.
Some submissions are picked up for internal review; most are sent to community reviewers (such as you and I and most people on this forum).
If your submission is considered eligible, most reviewers will then check the title and description for quality, check the photo for quality, check the location for accuracy, check the object actually exists, check for duplicates of existing wayspots, then use your supporting information to check any claims you have made (e.g. “this restaurant is really popular - [this] is the google reviews link”).
It will normally be approved if it is eligible, meets criteria and doesn’t have anything wrong with it.
Welcome,
You should be able to view your nominations here Niantic Wayfarer
You then just have to wait for the outcome.
For future nominations feel free to post in “Nomination Support” for advice.
If you don’t get the result you are hoping for also post details (both images, Title, Description, Supplemental, GPS Co-ords & rejection reason. People here will advise whether there is any changes you can make to improve your chances or if the nomination does not meet criteria and will never be accepted.
New folks to the forum might not understand what is meant by “eMiLy”. For the OP, eMiLy is a name that some wayfarers use to refer to a machine leaning program that typically does a first review of submissions.
Hello, thanks for the information. For a PokeStop to be accepted, must the terms of acceptance be met, and additional information be provided in the proposal based on the above?
Sorry, Not sure what you are asking.
The main criteria is…
Must be a great place for socialising, exercising or exploring (not just be able to do one of these but that is what the nomination is meant for).
Must not be on private land (single family residence), school grounds.
Must be safe to reach the location on foot (that’s actually reaching the object in real life).
Check the following for more info…
Thanks
