Pokestop in remote locations

We live in a remote location and dont have much at all other than a bus stop with no mural on it. What other options are available to nominate so we can have 1 pokestop in our location?

Good day and welcome to the forum!

Submission via Wayfarer is currently tied to real world objects and the criteria. This criteria is measured for each object’s merits in the real world. As such, there may be a disproportionate amount of eligible and acceptable items for each region depending on the human activity and spaces available there.

Will you share the coords of your area and some of us can take a look around?

We have one pokestop at the field called getaghty Park, my only successful pokestop request

The area that you linked to appears to be mostly SFPRP (single family private residential property) and farms. Those locations are ineligible. Sometimes, that is just how it is, no matter how hard it is to hear that.

I think I found your park Wayspot. Is that building anything besides a storage shed? Does the Google Pin for “Julatten Family Fellowship” represent a physical object that could be submitted? Are there more things in the west side of the park that could be submitted?

Criteria sucks

Oh, this 9 mile store has some lovely murals!

And you could submit the picnic area too

Do you know where that is?

It’s a bit far from the coordinates you gave, but better than nothing.

It really is not friendly to areas like yours. I would suggest trying to scroll around Google Maps to look for anything tagged as a business, park, or church, and check if there is anything there to nominate.

No network access there

The church could be eligible, are there any trails that run through your area?

Horse trails - people use our street/subdivision for that

There are pokemon here all the time

You might not get signal there, but you could still go and take photos and then submit them from home/somewhere with signal using the upload photos from gallery option. So long as you’re within 10km of where they are, you’ll be able to move the location pin to them.

I realise you might not get much use out of them if they get accepted and you don’t have signal there, but they might be useful for you one day, and may be useful for people on a different network?

Provider options are limited to 3, none of them have the ability to connect to network there

Network access could got better in future. And it doesnt hurt to submit
