It would help if you share the nomination text and supporting text.
My first thought, without reading what your post is about, was:
What a beautyful photo 
but I hope they didn’t use it for the nomination. I’d bet that you don’t have the chance to pass the ML (machine learning), because too much greenery.
If you submitted based on where you are now, I am wondering if it would be more successful if it was photographed closer? It may also need better lighting (the sun being behind you) so the main subject is better lit.
Also, it really goes down to what the title is and how it is described.
