I recently had 2 Pokestops accepted on the 28th September, however noticed they are not appearing in game after being accepted? - I know there’s usually a set time on when they would go live however after waiting this time yesterday and today there still seems to be no sign of them appearing ingame,
Could I confirm if they still get added on the weekends, or if these only get added during the week?
I don’t see anything else in the L17 S2 cell on this map of Ingress portals, but this map no longer updates since May 23 of this year. You can use the satellite view shown to check and see if there are any live pokestops in the same cell.
You can also check to see if the nominations were moved from where you pinned them in voting. You can use the nomination map screen to check to see where the Wayspot is live if you begin a new nomination while you are at the location. It will show you an exclamation point with a message about being used in other games. The toggle must be on for this to work, and it does not work remotely. You must be right there.
If the pins are where you placed them and there is nothing else there that is not showing here, then there could be a property owner block of game locations on the property. Only staff can tell you that.
You didn’t say what time, and I get mixed up on time zones anyway. Did you read about the sync part? Did you check to see if they sync’d in today? The normal sync time should have just recently happened for today.
It appears from your screenshot that there are pokestops at the red and blue dots I added to the map manually. The purple highlights shows the cells that are occupied. It looks like your new Wayspots are not eligible to show in Pokemon Go as Pokestops or gyms.
One of these will for certain be eligible to be used as a Powerspot in the future, and possibly both. I can’t tell the distance from the Pokestop for the north one, but the east one should be plenty far enough away from any existing Pokestop.
Is there any special exceptions to this that would allow more then 1 pokestop to be close to each other? As usually when im out and about, I can see that there’s quite a few next to each other, with 2 pokestops being right ontop of each other in the same spot
It’s just about cell lines*. As an example, here’s one where there’s a PokéStop and a Gym within 10m of each other, so very close but as it’s over cell lines, it’s fine and meets inclusion rules.
As another example, these are on different sides of the road (the purple X has been added as it doesn’t appear in Ingress as it’s less than 20m away) but again, both across cell lines so they meet Pokémon GO’s inclusion criteria. To anyone who doesn’t know about Wayfarer, cells or inclusion criteria for the games, they would likely look at these and be upset that their PokéStops cannot be as close.
I have added 3 crosses at random at the cell junction. If there were eligible things there these would all be eligible to be pokestops as they are separated by the invisible lines. So here 4 would be very close together. It is best to think of it as a random factor as the grid of lines bears no relation to the potential objects on the ground.
Most of the time these clusters don’t happen which is why they stand out when they do.
