On Friday, November 8th, 2024, the ‘Idee Shop KaDeWe Berlin’ portal was removed. The shop was originally located in the KaDeWe department store, approximately 800 meters away as the crow flies. However, it moved to a new location a few years ago. The corresponding entry on the Intel map also moved to the new location. The store is present at this location and there are obviously no criteria for a sudden inapplicability that would justify its removal.

This looks like a generic chain business that likely should never have been accepted in the first place. Maybe Niantic have decided to do a bit of a clean up here?
correct. That’s the appeal which the wayspot was removed through.
The “idee” sign was destroyed when the building was replaced. The wayspot was then moved to the new location of the “idee”-shop but the sign never moved.
