At Westway Shopping Centre (approximate co-ords 51.541925,-0.339596), there is (or at least was_ a sponsored wayspot (I believe it’s EE) that isn’t showing up on the map. Would it be possible to get the sponsored wayspot added to the map (if it still exists)? I don’t know if the EE wayspot has been removed, as I haven’t been there recently, but definitely existed when I was last there a few months back.
Google maps and the EE website do not show an EE store in that retail park. It’s likely it has closed and been removed as a sponsored wayspot.
Either way, there is a sponsored stop at that location, irrespective as to whether or not it exists as a location on EE’s website. It may have closed down recently, or may never have made it to their website.
I can’t see a wayspot for this on the wayfarer map. Can you provide a link/screenshot?
Sponsored Pokestops and Gyms do not show up on the Wayfarer Map, as they are not part of the Wayfarer database.
That is frustrating to hear, but good to know. I wish it could be made visible on the map as it would help us plan where we prioritise our time submitting wayspots.
It was probably part of an Argos Extra. We have a similar one nearby. The sponsored location still shows in game despite the fact that Argos and EE haven’t been there for several years now. Reporting it does no good because the location was paid for by EE, so it stays there even though there is no actual EE shop there.
Can confirm that sponsored don’t show up in Wayfarer. You can manually add them to your personal Wayfarer though.
I did this for a Starbucks in the business district closest to my house, because its absence kept making me think I could add one of the other three businesses in the same building.
