Assume that I might have known of Starbucks and other locations with Sponsored Stops or Gyms (yes, only in Pokemon GO question) that have either closed or moved or both since we were given the ability to nominate in Pokemon GO. Does a map exist besides Campfire that shows the Sponsored locations so I can verify the ones near me (same county)? I believe I have caused at least 3 Wayspots (Stops) to be removed since a Starbucks no longer existed at those 3 different locations over the years. Finding Gyms is less difficult but Stops are not easy to locate in areas I don’t know as well.
Unfortunately, there’s isn’t one. The best we have for seeing gyms right now is Campfire, since the split from Ingress. And sponsored stops may not fully get revealed to us, since they are business deals, and that info may not be allowed to be fully disclosed, depending on the sponsorship agreement.
If you’d like, we do have a thread going in regards to haveing a Wayfarer map here: Community Feedback: The Importance of a 'Wayspot' Map
I’m not sure what form it will take, but a wayspot map will probably be created eventually.
However, displaying sponsored pokestops and gyms as you suggest would be difficult.
At least, it will remain impossible on wayspot maps created by Wayfarer.
This is easy to see when you think about it, because the information on sponsored spots is held by PoGo, not Wayfarer.
And this is true not only for PoGo, but for other games as well.
The only possibility for your wish to come true is the Campfire PoGo map.
Currently, this is the only map that displays sponsored gyms.
PoGo trainers may want to request that PoGo and Campfire show all pokestops, including sponsors, on the Campfire PoGo map.
The problem that I have had is the 3 or 4 Wayspots that are Sponsored Starbucks PokeStops. I caused 3 or 4 to be removed since Starbucks closed and know those areas. For different parts of Little Rock, Arkansas, I am not as familiar though have probably visited in the past if not as a child long ago (before 2000). I don’t give the exact year when I turned 18. I can guess at least 1 location that has a newer Starbucks but nothing Sponsored. The airport is not a place I visit often (location). I assume in east, southeast, and south Little Rock, things changed with more than just Starbucks. However, Campfire gets difficult when the city’s population is more than 200,000. That is especially true with any Sponsored location that is a PokeStop.
Oh, I have commented on the linked discussion about a map and don’t want to share the same comments again.
We have no confirmation that this will happen. We are wishing for one, as it would be extremely helpful, but there’s no guarantee that an offical Wayfarer map will be made available to us.
How would I request all PokeStops including the Sponsored ones be shown in the Campfire app? I can see that resulting in a No since all Trainers are not truthful with their GPS location. I guess that might be abused by some people but don’t know if that would cause Niantic to reply No for that reason. I assume Niantic is who would make that decision. That get more complicated since the purchase.
Wayfarers don’t want this, and we have been voicing our opposition to this. It’s just an app, and we want more than an app; we also would like to see a web version that can be accessed on any web browser.
Since Campfire’s PoGo map is probably linked to PoGo, I think the location data is accurate.
Therefore, I think it would be possible to display it by adding pokestops to the extraction conditions of the Campfire map.
So, I think it would be most appropriate to convey this request to the person in charge of Campfire.

This discussion is about a map that includes sponsored stops and gyms.
If Wayfarer were a map database for PoGo only, it might be possible with the map you are referring to.
However, Wayfarer’s maps are shared with Pikmin, MHNow, and new locational data games, and there is no data on sponsored stops and gyms in Wayfarer.
As long as they continue to be shared, it will probably be impossible to create the map he wants.
That is why I suggested adding stops to Campfire, which is currently the only map where sponsored gyms can be confirmed.
Campfire is likely linked to various map data from PoGo, and it should be possible by simply changing the extraction conditions.
Additionally, regarding the wayspot map that you and the ambassadors were discussing, there is a separate thread for that, so I will not go into detail here.
However, what is needed in the discussion at this point is to clarify the requirements for the wayspot map.
That is my only advice.
That’s pretty much what it is right now, as only PoGo players can nominate. No other Scopely gmae allows nominations, and they don’t sync as often as PoGo does.
What he is requesting is a ”pokestop map” that includes “sponsored spots.”
What you are requesting is a ”wayspot map” that includes “hidden pokestops.”
These are different maps.
And it will not be possible to create a pokestop map that includes “sponsored spots” in Wayfarer.
This is because Wayfarer does not have data on sponsored spots.
Let’s understand this difference.
We are not going to get any kind of map with sponsored Wayspots on it. Those are part of a business deal, and those deals most likely do not require that a map of the sponsored Wayspots be disclosed to the public.
There will most likely never be a map of sponsored Wayspots due to the nature of the business for these spots.
I acquire Seedlings in Pikmin Bloom that do not have to be Sponsored locations. Those only have to exist. I know the other games except Monster Hunter Now. If it is a Wayspot in Pikmin Bloom, that only increases my chances of acquiring a seedling from that location (including Sponsored locations). Pikmin Bloom is tricky since I no Wayspot has to be present for a location to produce Seedlings. My trip to Orlando, Bay Lake, and Kissimmee helped expand the number of Decor Pikmin that I have. Walt Disney World and Universal did especially. Yes, this is from my account. I still mainly play Pokemon GO.
…since no Wayspot… (I added an extra word when I read what I typed.)
