Private residential property vs. Waypoints

There is general rule saying private residential property is non elgible location.
On the other hand murals, graffitties, plaques, statues and so on are in vast majority on the walls of private residential properties. We all can find plenty od such examples mainly in the cities.
And I am trying to nominate absolutelly fantastic art of Giraffe on the wall of private property and it was rejected due to general rule above. So - how should be tis rule applied?
The art is freely accessible from public area, nice cool and safe place, people are walking around.
My topic is more general but I can post the nomination.
thanks for your views on this rule

In simple terms, if the property is a Single Family Private Property, no matter how great the graffiti is, it won’t be eligible.

Assuming it’s a Property that houses multiple families (i.e. flats within the property with a single entrance), if the Graffiti is commissioned and can be proven to be commissioned, it may be eligible.

agree, but as I said - look at wayspots around you - plaques of victims of wars, plaques honoring artists, small art pieces - these are sometimes on single residential properties - shall we mark them all for deletion?

There aren’t any graffitis around me that are Wayspots, but I know graffiti tags and Memorial Plaques do exist, but they will never be approved. I know of a few in Central London that exists on private property. Based on what I know now, would I submit them? No.

I don’t base my decision process on what is already in game. Would I request deletion? I can’t give a concrete yes or no to that question.

Basically, yes.
If something is on Single Family Private Residential Property and has been wrongly accepted it is one of the reasons to report for removal.

I have many things that I have seen that are interesting that I can’t submit….thats just the way it is.

There arent any wayspots near me, city or otherwise that I interact with on single family private property. I reject any I see in review no matter how eligible the wayspot is because rejection criteria beats acceptance criteria. Also, yes I have marked wayspots for deletion for being on single family private property. I dont want to have any reason to be standing around someones house that I dont know(and Im sure they would agree).

Is this a true apartment/townhome/multi-family home? If it is and you can provide proper evidence then that wouldnt fall under the ‘single family private property’ rejection :slightly_smiling_face:

I do, all the time. Including some that have been in Ingress longer than PoGo has existing.

Just because something was/is accepted, it does not mean it should have been accepted.

Where I live, there can be up to 3 families, or 3 unrelated groups (say 3 college students, for instance), living in 1 single family PRP. It’s still considered single family PRP though, as it was originally built and zoned to house 1 family.

Outer walls of a single family PRP would most likely still fall under being on the property, as that’s something that’s hard to prove at times. It’s also something that staff has addressed in the PRP clarification (outer walls aren’t mentioned, but there are many different terms that can apply).

I’d also like to point out that some graffiti on PRP might not have even been put up by the owners, but a vandal. Graffiti put up without permission is considered vandalism, and typically isn’t eligilbe. This is also layed out in the Unique Art clarification.

Yeah?
