2 of my nominations have been rejected for what I believe to be false reasons. (See below). Ultimately, it doesn’t bother me that these don’t get accepted in any of the games, but am concerned that they are being labelled as not being possibly located at these stations. Granted, I could have included Mark Wallinger: Labyrinth • 11/270 Pinner / Square design family / Southbound... in the supplimental information for Pinner, but until these 2 were rejected, it didn’t occur to me to add it. I am a bit worried that the rejection could count towards my profile, which could result in me getting a ban of some sort. If some help could be provided, it would be appreciated.
- Mark Wallinger: Labyrinth - Art in Public - North Harrow 12/270
Location: Google Maps
Description
Unique Labyrinth artwork - Number 12 of 270 in Mark Wallinger’s series commissioned to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London Underground. The pieces are numbered according to the route taken in the 2009 World Record Tube Challenge, all the Labyrinths that form part of the series are completely unique. This is displayed on one of the platforms at the station.
Supplimenta information.

My Comment:
For the above nomination, there is an error in the description in the last sentence where it should have said in the station entrance rather than platform. This could have been corrected afterwards.

Hi
We have had a query about these before.
And they can get accepted it just may take some persistence as it can be difficult to prove location. The supporting photo is going to be critical and the position of some can also be tricky to get any accuracy.
Edited to add
I’ve checked and it must have been on the old forum.
I have had pogo postcards of these.

Thanks for the comment. The Pinner one is a 2nd time rejection. First one I accept due to error between seat and keyboard. But in this case same rejection on 2 nomination is a concern to me… especially at the speed they got rejected.
Those are quick I take it the email says community rather than our team?
The rejection is about a day apart, but not sure when the 2nd one went into voting. Can only assume it was around the 16th or 17th.
Would it be possible to see the whole nomination just to see if there is anything that we can spot ?
This is the North Harrow one. The only mistake is in the last sentence of the description, which I hope I could have fixed post-submission. I should have said in the Station building and not the Station Platform. I’ll be happy to put my hand up and admit my error on that one.
That North Harrow one looks good ….as you say the small error of platform /entrance hall. And tumblr shows its relation to the entrance.
I would have recommended some sort of wider shot like that for the supplementary to ease location queries.

Pressed send to quickly.
I would appeal this and add the tumblr link.
I so want to collect all of these.
What about the Pinner one?
To be honest, that is something that did cross my mind post submission, but it shouldn’t be a reason for the inaccurate location / nomination can’t possibly exist at the location. I know people do use random rejection reason, but I am concerned about the fact that it’s the same rejection reason on 2 nominations. I’ll let this one go. I’m not going to lose sleep on this one.
Ok I think people have just been unsure where it is located. Your supplementary pic in both cases is not helping show the surrounding buildings. And because so little is shown I suspect people were suspicious. And decided to reject under location rather than IDK.
That’s a judgement call.
They both are great and a pic like the tumblr ones should do it.
I would definitely appeal and provide the link to tumblr.

I saw a few of these on review lately. Not sure if they are yours but I’ve been to most of the stations they’re at so I know they’re there.
If it’s on the west side of the Met and Piccadilly, they are most likely mine. Not done all the west side of the Central Line yet. It’s on my list to do.
Thanks for providing a objective and fair response. I know I can overreact, but it did seem suspicious as to the reason for rejecting. I have 1 spare appeal for this month… so will take some time to see if it’s worth resubbing or appealing.

Well the one rejected twice deserves an appeal shot.
I’ve been there several times with not seeing any reason as to why something might be rejected, and then a different pair of eyes sees it differently.
Anyway good luck with them I love these it’s such a great idea.
