Question about a violated proposition

I have ask for a stop in a new Park in my city.

And I recevied a policy violated mail :

This is the proposition

And this is the park in real Life, open 4 months ago :

As we can see there is the sameplayground for childs, and i wanted to know where is the problem in pictures or in descriptions

And this is a translate version of the description in english :

This former parking lot has been transformed into a green public space. During the Middle Ages, it was the town’s marketplace. Today, children play here while adults come to relax.

I can understand the proposition was rejected but i don’t understand the violating

Someone can explain me the problem ?

Because i’m a big user of Wayfarer

The “Abuse” rejection narrative can be flagged for a nomination for any of the following reasons (roughly in order of how often they occur):

* The photo is not yours (e.g., taken from streetview, found on another website)
* The wayspot location pin is misplaced
* The wayspot is deliberately misrepresented (e..g., on school property but pretending it isn’t)
* The nomination is believed to be fake
* Another nomination was flagged and all of yours have been flagged as a consequence
* The text itself is abusive
* The nomination is controversial and likely to be offensive (e.g., a mural of terrorists)
* (there may be others)

Do any of these apply?

Sometimes though, reviewers just take a dislike to something, although as Scopely have also had a look, there is probably something wrong. There’s nothing immediately wrong with the photos though.

The two photos are mine
The pin is well placed but complicated to place because on the satellite view you see an old parking
It’s a public park not a school
The link of the website of the city proove that the park exist we see the same toboggan
I had a flag in 2024 for a stop moving from one bus stop to the bus stop at the opposite of the street (who was the bus stop on the picture of the pokestop)

As you can read, the text is not an abuse

And this is a simple playground… no offense

It’s that I don’t understand

The abuse rejection narrative is very misleading in almost all circumstances. It comes up for lots of different reasons and once “abuse” has been flagged, you get the standard scary text.

It could be a problem with location. One way I have used to get round this, which is not 100% safe, but may be the best option when aerial images are useless, is as follows:

  • stand at the exact location of the POI
  • use the game-map in Pokemon Go to confirm that your phone’s GPS is accurate and Pokemon Go knows where you are by referring to anything you can
  • go into the submission screen, double-check the pin hasn’t moved and confirm the location
  • then walk a little distance away to take photos

I took the picture direclty at the same place i send the POI.

I move only 5 meters at north because I take the picture at 5 meters of the toboggan

Often staff will explain, usually through a direct message, when someone posts about something like this here. Did you use that “contact us” link in the email to make an appeal?

“Generic very low severity offense” doesn’t explain much.

Two French ambassadors say me to not make an appel, because if it’s refusé it’s direclty a ban or an alert message on the game.

I have no idea where they got that idea from, but it’s a long way from reality. Appealing an acceptable submission is perfectly OK.

Appealing a junk submission might cause Scopely to have a look at it and decide it is abusive, but that comes from submitting junk. This is definitely not junk.

Okay that does not sound correct. I have definitely appealed a warning like this without being banned. I am going to tag @NianticAaron to hopefully address this warning and this statement.

Were these Community Ambassadors or Wayfarer Ambassadors?

I can imagine being someone who submits wayspots which I know aren’t eligible, but I also know the reviewing pool is going to accept them. If one of those gets rejected and I appeal it, it might lead to a ban or alert message, so I wouldn’t appeal it and would hope Scopely didn’t notice what I was doing.

However, if I did appeal and did get a ban, I might well shout about “being banned for appealing” on social media.

There are no French Wayfarer Ambassadors so it was PoGO CAs

Thanks! I was mainly trying to point out that there are different kinds of ambassadors to the OP.

Hi @megaluigi ,

Welcome to the Wayfarer Community Forum.

I have shared the relevant details. Please check my DM.
