I’ve been getting title edit reviews where the sole difference is a "Terni - " at the front. Is this something y’all actually want to be in the name of everything or is it someone messing around? I’ve been rejecting the additions (except one that I assumed was the name of an art piece before realising it’s just the town name) since it isn’t common practice to put the town name in everything but if it’s supposed to be in there then uh… oops.
The name of the town isn’t needed in these 2, IMO, so I’d choose the ones without Temi in them. It could also be that Temi is in the title already, and edits were submitted to remove the town name from the titles.
The 1st one is a gazebo at a social center, and the 2nd is a play area. There’s no need to have the name of the town to the title, as that can be added to the description, if wanted, but the location also tells you where you’re at, especially if you pull it up in Campfire.
I have reviewed many similar in the UK.
Most have done it as…
“Object, Town”
“Object - Town”
“Object / Town”
I have been selecting these as I don’t think it detracts which your examples seem to do, unless wrtiting them that way is the norm in your location I would select the one without it.
Yes, this is a common practice in Italy.
Ah, dang, so I should be accepting the ones with the town names then?
no, a local practice doesn’t mean it’s correct
Having every portal start with the same characters would make it a pain to know what’s what. Every game and function truncates view after some number of characters, so you have to tap all the way into the wayspot to see the whole name.
Good point.
