I posted an engraving for a subdivision and was not accepted due to “likely not permanent”. What’s are y’all’s take on these? It’s a concrete fixture on the wall since the walls were built. Hence the lights are also fixed on it. Had to submit an appeal with a google map link. https://maps.app.goo.gl/eL1vFQDbmPuLjMpu9
Hopefully it gets approved.
Welcome to the forum!
I am one of those who does not feel these builder’s signs meant to mark real estate meet any of the criteria of a great place to exercise, explore, or be social. Niantic is messing with how the rejection reasons display, but the reviewers had most likely thumb’s downed “Permanent and Distinct” as in nothing Distinct in its environment.
Let us know how the appeal goes. I am not sure the appeals reviewers understand just what these signs represent.

How do you think this meets any of the criteria to be a great place to:
- socialize
- exercise
- explore
I have never done any of those things at my neighborhood sign. I see neighborhood signs all over while driving in my area, yet i have never explored any of them. I have certainly never been to a cook out or even just a hang out at one. (In fact, if anyone was hanging out at ours, my neighbors would clutch their pearls and call the police! I am not joking about having the police called on you. My neighbors have called the police on me just because I was sitting in my car parked on the street listening to music instead of being parked in my garage.) And they do not offer any type of exercise.
