Rejected pokestop submission

Please provide:

This is an entrance to the trail. Please help me to submit this wayspot. This is my first time submitting a request and I need some help with title, description and additional information. Thank you

Rejected reason: This decision could be because of the title, description, location, photo, or a combination of criteria.

Title: Lonestar loop trail!
Description: Very well maintained small trail loop inside the new Tri-Pointe Lonestar community. Residents like to walk around and enjoy the view and kids love to bike around this trail
Additional info: Lonestar is a new community in Folsom Ranch. Google maps doesn’t have satellite view of this place yet. This trail has well maintain road, safe to walk and bike. It has good view of lush green and sunset around the trail.

Welcome to the community! I know it is frustrating to get rejections, but am glad you are here.

The rejection reason will be on your contribution, not in the email. I will guess that the rejection reason was “Wayfarer criteria”, the decision was made around 22 hours after you submitted this, and the email says “our team” instead of the community decided. If so, this was most likely an ML (machine learning ai) decision.

The problem most likely is that this main photo does not contain elements that ML has been taught are eligible. I cannot think of a way to take this photo so that it looks like a trail entrance, but maybe some others can. I don’t think the spray painted messages help if you can avoid them in the photo.

Your supporting photo should include what you show in the main photo, but from further back to both show the context of the area the poi is in, and to provide information to reviewers to help locate the poi on maps. Since it does not show on satellite view, if there is any way to take a supporting photo to include something like a street sign to help with location while still including your focal point, try that.

For text, I would leave the ! out of the title. I would also use “title case” and capitalize every word in that title. I would leave the word “new” out of the description - it won’t be new for long. For supporting, don’t refer to the trail as a road - I am not sure what you are trying to say there. (I don’t think any of that contributed to the rejection, just giving tips.)

This is going to be a very hard nomination to get approved without a sign for the trail. Most new communities where I am include amenities like playgrounds and pools in common areas. Those are much easier nominations to start with if your new neighborhood has any of those.

Thank you @cyndiepooh. I will follow the changes you recommended and try to resubmit again and see if it goes through.
