Yes, the circles around this are.
Back to the topic, if ok for you.
This statue seems to be movable on the church ground. Do you’ve the opportunity to ask someone if it still exist at that location?
You made an issue out of nothing. Now it’s conveniently off topic. Anyway, you already have a final decision on your appeal. We can afford to go off-topic now.
i am nowhere near this particular wayspot, but i do have a similar issue nearby, which is why i asked my question. what i am seeing is that the best course would be to find where the pin is and take 360 video or geo tagged photos around the pin. finding the building to match up to the photo may not be possible with the remodeling, which is the same situation i have. i will most likely wait until satellite view updates to show there is now a building there.
That may not be enough. The statue has been moved around as seen in the photos. So, the best course of action is what @AliceWonder1511 suggested. It needs to be proved that the statue doesn’t exist anywhere on the church premises. A letter from the church confirming this may help.
oh, i see! i thought Aaron was saying the Wayspot was tied to the location.
wow. if i have to get a signed document from the senior adult community living center that mine has not simply been moved but does not exist anymore, it is staying in game right where it is lol
I don’t know if that’s needed or if that’ll work. That was just me thinking out loud, LOL.
For what it’s worth, it’s much more difficult to prove something doesn’t exist anymore than proving that it does. One of the very reasons “permanent and distinct” matters is so we can find the object in the real world easily.
It feels like to me enough evidence was presented. I know the precedent shouldn’t be set to “allow removal and if it’s really there somebody can re-request reinstatement,” but at this point there is evidence the statute does not exist at the in game location.
I really don’t want to, as this is the main religion I have an issue with, due to growing up in it.
Street View from not far away shows the statue on the old patio for the rectory back in 2011, and the old patio was still there in 2013. By 2018, the rector was remodeled and the statue seems to have been moved to the yard. Metal poles are not uncommon to place around things like this here, especially due to the snow we can get, so it can then be dug out. Being the statue is on Street View in the yard in January 2022 but isn’t there anymore, it most likely wasn’t moved, as many of the statues here have been vandalized so it’s most likely that it was removed.
Even though I have my issues with this religion, I may have to contact them to get it removed.
Thank you, as this is how I feel. I had actually gone to update it, but once there, the statue wasn’t there anymore.
I also had to go to the Lutheran Church in the area to find a misplaced memorial bench and did take geotagged photos of it. Still waiting to hear back from staff about it.
Does this wayspot has a description?
When your shown evidence isn’t enough to overturn the rejection it’s maybe not enough that the statue isn’t present at the submitted point. On Cyndies picture it leans against a wall. On Aarons picture it’s standing on some kind of balcony or so. On your google map picture from 2011 it’s standing on the lawn.
So my personal assumption is that the poi is maybe described as “Statue at Lutheran Church” and it doesn’t matter where as long as it exists.
No description, and being Aaron says it was added before the remodel of the rectory, which happened after 2013, I think it’s an Ingress import. I want to get it removed from Ingress as well, but I’m unable to report invalid portals in-game, and the contacvt links may be iffy right now, as I did a report for abuse a couple weeks ago, and haven’t heard anything back.
Also, Aaron’s photo isn’t at this Wayspot. There are 2 photos, both very blurry.
Here’s the other Street Views I was talking about, where you can see the statue on the old patio in 2011, but in 2018 the new patio is shown, and that’s what you can see from January 2022.
Statue can be see on old patio in 2011:
Patio and statue can no longer be seen, due to new pine trees that were planted, fron 2013:
Patio remodel at rectory can be seen in 2018:
Statue shown in 2022 as being in the yard between the trees:
I’ve also checked the scans for this on Lightship, and they show the trees in between the statue. I now Lightship isn’t part of Wayfarer, but I see it between the trees there.
I just find it a little odd that I have provided proof that the statue isn’t there anymore, and we have been told that accuracy of the map is very important.
The statue has been moved from the balcons to the lawn. What makes you think that it cannot be moved somewhere else?
My surprise at this decision is that the statue clearly does not exist at the pin now, but the wayspot is being allowed to remain there.
This I so agree with.
Thats always been there stance when something exists (soomewhere nearby) but you or they dont know where.
