Title: Corner with benches
Description: Benches near the meadows of Boskamp (town), behind the church.
It is a resting place and also a place to meet up next to the church of Boskamp, which is in the center of the village. It is near a restaurant as well. On the other side, behind the houses that are seen on both pictures, are meadows with the ability for a nice walk around nature.
I would say this counts as a place to explore (next to the church; cultural location), socialise (meet up and sit with your friends for a picnick or whatsoever) and for exercise (take a nice walk through the meadows from here on).
What could be the reasons this nomination is rejected? Mostly asking because I am curious to learn more about the criteria and also in case I could change something about the nomination to upload it again.
Please provide:
A screenshot of your nomination, including rejection reasons if it has already been rejected
Include the title, description, both photos, and supplemental information
Copy and paste the title, description and supplemental so others can translate them
If you feel comfortable please share the location, as it is helpful (i.e. hidden duplicates), but you can mask it if you wish.
Hi @z0vian
Welcome to the forum
Since you don’t provided a screenshot of the given rejection reason (in your contribution under the title) my first guess is, that the ML (machine learning) rejected your nomination.
That often happens if the ML can’t detect a specific item.
You pointed out that there’re many ‘nearby attractions’ but your nomination have to focus on it’s own.
This seating area have to follow one (or more) of the main criteria (great place to explore, exercise or being social) right there.
You mentioned it is next to a church. Is it maybe a place where church visitors come together to socialize? Or the neighborhood?
Perhaps you want to have a look at our Criteria Clarification Collection.
I think this area is worse a second try with improvements
Ah okay thank you! So what you’re saying (if I understand correctly) is that I should retry, but be more specific of the benches being next to the church, so that this ML/reviewers don’t view it as some random benches somewhere unimportant?
That wasn’t exactly what I meant
My suggestion is that you present this location in best glance.
Get a picture, maybe at a sunny day, where this place looks like a nice gathering place (what it obviously is) and tell the story how it is used as a great place for being social.
The church was only an example which audience maybe is gathering there. But you’re the local you know it best.
Ahh okay I got it! Thank you for explaining. After appealing I just saw it is under review now. If it does get rejected again I will retry with better pictures and better description.
