It doesn’t meet the criteria. It’s not a great place to socialise or explore. I am going to go on a whim and say that it’s temporary.
ah I see thanks
I would say if I am wrong, you will need to provide a compelling argument as to why this would be a great place to socialise, explore or exercise (and / or how it meets the criteria). I’m not sold on this nomination if it were I were to review it.
like if there is something near that you can meet at? that would be sociable and would like a bus stop / gazebo count as an eligible nomination?
Bus Stops less likely to get approved. Gazebo’s should be considered on merit. If it’s a permanent structure and has some form of access (whether it be public or residential), then yes. I’m not sure about Gazebo’s on Corporate land, but am willing to be educated on that.
Places like restaurants that hold functions, events, etc. may qualify.
That “Wayfarer criteria” rejection indicates that Niantic’s ML (machine learning ai) model decided it. The email will say “our team” instead of the community.
Acceptance criteria is:
Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria
- A great place for exploration
- A great place for exercise
- A great place to be social with others
@P1dg3ySlayer is walking you through some great examples.
@cyndiepooh is writing a long post… we are in trouble.
i see
yea.
so if i make an appeal for the recycling center from what i know it is permanent it’s here for like 3 years and say why you can socialise and why it’s a great area to explore there is a chance for it to accept?
Some unique Restaurants may qualify, if sold correctly.
Historical buildings (even if it’s used for commercial purposes) may qualify, if the relevant facts are presented (along with provable supporting information)
Publicly accessable Playgrounds.
Park entrances signs (which may be contentious, but will need to be considered on merit)
Fitness Stations within the parks.
Memorial plaques dedicated to notable people in the community.
These are just some ideas you could consider.
I would struggle to see how the appeal would be successful. But if you can provide a valid argument, go for it. I may be wrong.
I mean near the recycling center there is a huge place to meet other people and there is sometimes events near them
If you are referring to the gym, I would defer to other people’s opinions on that one. However, without knowing the area, I can’t speculate on whether the place you are referring to would be a good location. You may need to submit a new nomination for that.
i see thanks.
and if i would for an example use a restaurant would it be eligible
being near something does not make the recycling center meet criteria. the place itself must meet one of the three criteria. being a place where you could meet a friend is not the same thing as being a great place designed for friends to meet. submit the place designed for meeting and holding events, though, for sure!
restaurants are tricky. “Generic business” is a rejection reason
you need to prove in your nomination that the place is special to the community and not just another place to eat.
thanks! the place is already submitted and approved
