Removal Appeal - Rock Em Sock Em Robots

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Rock Em Sock Em Robots

  • Location (lat/lon): 39.810466,-86.160117

  • City: Indianapolis, Indiana

  • Country: USA

  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):

  • Additional Information (if any): The location is clearly abusive, marked in an outdoor greenspace when it is clearly an indoor exhibit at the Children’s Museum about 800 feet away. (actual location approximately 39.81053502280582, -86.15734627824219)

  • In addition, these white display cases are in the Carousel Wishes and Dreams area of the Children’s Museum (southeast portion of the building) and the contents are not permanent displays

Question. Assuming the contents are not permanent (and I have no reason to doubt your report as you have local knowledge), is the housing / structure that holds the contents permanent? If not, do they get changed or replaced?

Thanks for the appeal, @pandorasboxxxy. We took another look at the Wayspot in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time. However, we’ve moved the wayspot to its correct location.

I’m sorry if there was a misunderstanding, but Rock Em Sock Em is not on exhibit any longer. I’m not sure how often they change these displays out… I’m pretty sure at least once a year.

I think the display cases could probably be wayspots on their own, as they have a unique design as a place to explore. But there are several POIs in the direct vicinity that are significantly more interesting.

I don’t know if a Title / Description edit could be justified in this scenario to reflect that the display case should be the wayspot rather than the content. But I’ll sit on the fence on that one.
