When I dropped the entire image on that AI detector, it said 97% real. When I cropped to the mural as below, it said 1% real (99% fake).
Is there any chance you can get to that location or contact someone else who can?
I don’t trust AI as far as I can throw it and place a similar trust in the detectors. Just used it to see what it would say.
I can understand getting a different result for the entire picture, because it could be that that was used as a template (so the background is actually real) and the mural added onto it.

There are multiple it is always good to verify with others
You are missing the fact that the OP had spotted several things that made him believe it could be AI. People have then used the apps to try and get a confirmation.
With all of these it is reasonable to consider it likely AI and therefor Reject. If the nominator has more evidence then they can appeal.
