I am submitting an appeal today because I believe this waypoint is no longer suitable for the community. The cemetery is closed off to the public and is now open by appointment only. The public no longer has access the premises and has signs saying no trespassing.

The sign for the cemetery also no longer exists and will attach a photo I took of it. The board is still there, however the sign for the cemetery has been missing for a couple years.

There are many other suitable POI’s in the area and I believe it’s our obligation to hold a high standard on the quality of stops and this no longer meets that standard.

Whilst I agree that the cemetery should probably be removed because it shouldn’t really have been accepted in the first place, the information I’m finding online does seem to suggest it’s not closed to what Niantic would consider the public, and I do want to point out that you’ve also taken a picture of a completely different object than the one that was actually used for the wayspot.

The sign in the wayspot picture for the cemetery is by the entrance to the cemetery. The board you’ve taken a picture of is down the road and opposite the junction with South Drive, and it was used to advertise a fundraiser at one point, looking at Street View. If the actual entrance sign no longer exists then you should go and take a picture of where that was.

Thanks for the appeal, @max1468. We took another look at the Wayspot in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.
