Reporting incorrect removal

Hello, some time ago, like 11 years, a shrine next to pavement was added. not private, not anything wrong with it, just a good shrine.

  • Wayspot Title: Niebieska Maryjka
  • Location (lat/lon): 49°44’01.2"N 19°38’25.1"E
  • City: Maków Podhalański, Suski, Lesser Poland
  • Country: Poland
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email: did not get one
  • Additional Information (if any): The shrine does not have anything to be seen as private, look around.

Please revoke the decision. it IS on public ground and IS Safe, is NOT sensitive, it EXISTS, it is NOT abuse, a nearest school is a km away, And is not a duplicate.

here is a 8 month old sv photo for you Google Maps

Hi! I have edited out gameplay war references and speculations - please refrain from using them on this forum. When you appeal the removal of something, you need to provide evidence that it is still there, or that it is eligible in the case the object appears to not meet some of the eligibility rules.

Personally, checking the Street View you provided, I would suspect staff will need proof that this is not single-family private residential property (if it is in the hedge surrounding someone’s property, it’s still on the property), and recent evidence that it’s still there, not how important it is for Ingress, which doesn’t matter for removal or restoration. Is there any such evidence you could include to support your appeal?

The property is from what i know, abbandoned, and it is in front of the bushes. It is a public area next to pavement. It is a hour away by car and 2,5 hours by bike, i am not going there just to take you all a photo. although i was there around 2 weeks ago and it was still there. However, will ask some people from the family to take a photo/video of the shrine. they live nearby.

Just talked with a person that grew up there. From what i understand, it was made into it’s own property so everyone can enjoy the shrine. And i confirmed the Abbandoned property part, with the homeowner dying a few years ago.
So, the shrine is as public as the Pavement, and the pavement looks preety public to me.

I am having a hard time keeping up with the multiple changing arguments (if it’s outside of the single family property, why does it matter that the owner died, and how does the owner dying change the SFPRP situation?..), but a single family property being abandoned doesn’t make it an eligible location, and the shrine, if it still exists, is very clearly embedded in the bushes.

I am absolutely not looking to enter a debate, but would like to help you with the best chances of supporting your appeal if this is an incorrect removal. And to improve those chances, you would likely need external evidence that the location has been zoned into something different, or external evidence that it is clearly outside of the property boundary. “A person told me” is usually not receivable evidence for the team. I would suggest working on providing this, and will now let the team handle it.

I am not going to spend a year trying to find a document like this. And i said it is abbandoned to say that there is no way to get contact to the homeowner. I don’t even think i should be having ANY discussion with you, as it is CLEARLY correct. Stop saying that it is not. I however would like @onecino to help here, with his opinion as the only local wayfarer ambassador.

Just Found out that on the goverment mapping website, geoportal.gov.pl, the shrine has it’s own property, enmarked as type 1 road property (Goverment Owned). So Yes, it IS public.

Can you provide the link to the info please. The Wayfarer Team will want to see that information. It is best to make it easy for the team to review the relevant facts about the case.

the map itself does not have any way to publish locations within links, but here is the map: geoportal.gov.pl
you will have to zoom in. Here is a screenshot of the tiny property:

Here is also a photo saying that the group 1 (same for the property in question) Is goverment owned:

There are 15 groups, just could not fit them all in one screenshot.

The former houseowners, to make sure the shrine is never removed by future homeowners, have made it into a property that is a part of the road, as a person who grew up there claims.

There’s a quite recent StreetView from 2024 https://maps.app.goo.gl/BiPX1Qg4X1PPoNpE8 which shows where the shrine is. Google Maps satellite view still has this location obfuscated by a tree that used to grow there and both can be seen in an older SV view from May 2021. It appears to me that the shrine is actually the white spot that can be seen on Kermit’s screenshot (geoportal.gov.pl “Searches” >> “Searching for plot” 121506_4.0001.2839/2) and the rows of hedges along the sides of the plot corroborate that. Hence it’s not in the location of “tiny property” (which I assume to be the manhole cover for utilities, either water or electric - https://maps.app.goo.gl/czAfS9Q1MA3LWRPd9) The row of hedges along the main road has been sculptured to create an artificial boarder between the private part of the property to possibly allow public access to the shrine, while ensuring privacy of the rest of the land. However, official government borders of the plot extend beyond it and include the shrine.

Thanks for the appeal, @K3RMlT. We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.

What? Why?
