I recently received a 30-day ban on my Pokémon GO account due to a Wayspot I submitted. The reasons listed were that the Wayspot was allegedly offensive to a person and incorrectly placed.
However, I strongly believe this is a mistake:
The location exists in reality.
I submitted the correct coordinates.
I followed all Wayfarer and Niantic submission rules.
I am attaching the Wayspot submission as evidence, including screenshots and exact coordinates, to support my case. I kindly request that someone review this personally, as I believe the ban was applied in error.
Any guidance or support on how to resolve this situation would be greatly appreciated.
I don’t understand how this is possible. I have submitted many Wayspots, and I have never placed one incorrectly. I always do it responsibly and double-check my submissions. I also don’t understand how the reason could be that I am offending anyone with this Wayspot.
As soon as my Wayspot was rejected, I checked it on the Niantic Wayfarer website and the reason listed was that it was offensive to a person and incorrectly placed, but in the email it said this:
Hm. Malicious image submission mean 3rd party foto. Did u use photo from some website? Or did you upload your photo somewhere? Perhaps you got warning in the past about it
Malicious image submission and location misplacement are two separate offences on two different nominations. You should have received emails (one in the past and one recently) detailing the concerned nominations.
