I woke up this morning to an email saying my account is banned for 30 days. The waypoint I attempted to submit is a real location in my town. It’s an local business it is a Veterinarian Clinic. I had previously tried few time to nominate it for waypoint but community denied it. There is no rules that forbid to resubmit single object again after rejection. I even saw Pokemon Go Content Creators encouraging people to do soo. Creating videos and youtube tutorials showing how they submit constantly same barber shop after multiple rejection. They show and tell to players how to improve the game for their local community according to Wayfarer rules. Niantic’s own rules say you can resubmit if you think it was denied in error. I tried to submit it again with a different description, and I got a 30 day ban for Misplacement of wayspot submissions. As far as I remember I have posted in accurate position where it should be. If I mistaken fastclicked and forgot to set proper location it’s due to game nomination process that allows for that kind of mistakes. If I have done it it wasn’t on purpose to abuse system. And if you ban players for even small mistakes then this system is not encouraging to improve wayfarer data at all. I understand a system in place to prevent abuse, but to ban your whole account - Pokémon Go. Whether my ban gets overturned or not, I will no longer be submitting any material to Wayfarer ever again and now I won’t be able to hit lvl 50 before October and I have already spent money on events in advance.
Also why I decided to nominate Veterinarian Clinic because it’s a local business, run by locals who cares about local petowners community and because it is rare here in my district to have one and it was worth to make it notice.
It is impossible to create a game nomination process that can prevent players selecting the wrong location for a nomination. The only person who can select the location is the person doing the submission and the onus is entirely on them to select the right location.

Because you mention mis placement it sounds as though tgat was specifically mentioned in the emails.

A screenshot of the submission email of the co-ordinates is useful so we can see where it was placed.
Please explain how veterinarian clinic fit exploration/exercise/socialize category. Resubmitting is only recommended if you really believe the nomination is eligible and its rejected by mistake. I dont know how veterinarian clinic fit this. Spamming low quality nomination can get you into abuse ladder system along with missplacement of wayspot submission. Anyway you dont get 30days suspension for just 1 small mistake. Its more likely that this is your second strike in abuse ladder system. Hopefully you will learn from this and be careful on any future submission.
I apologize, but since the misplacement of submissions is the reason for the suspension, I deleted my previous comment to focus on that issue.
I actually have various opinions about what that creator is saying, but I’ll hold back.
My bad. I do not have different mail from this nomination, but as you mention in DM. I have missed the spot by 90m because I marked it on wrong street. My bad.

You now have that 30 days sanction. It is reasonable that actions that break the rules in wayfarer and would affect game play in Pokemon Go incur a sanction in both places.
I appreciate from your perspective that this is a shock and feels bad, but the actions you took affect both areas.
I would advise that you accept the situation you are now in. 30 days will feel like a long time but use some of that time to reflect.
The breach of rules on wayfarer will be removed after a year. So if you have any concerns then stopping wayfarer activity for that year will mean there is no stress.
You are welcome to keep track of wayfarer by reading this forum over that time.
It is a hard lesson to learn but it is important to learn from this.
Also, this is a vet clinic, which would be considered a generic business, and doesn’t meet criteria. All nominations must be at least a great place to socialize/exercise/explore, and a vet clinic is a place to take your pet when they need a checkup or in a medical emergency, not to do any of the 3 above. Many places have vet clinics/hospitals, which is another reason they are considered generic businesses.
