Request to Remove Invalid Cover Photo for Specific Wayspot

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title:Welcome to White Bear Lake
  • Location (lat/lon): 45.038391, -93.017509
  • City: White Bear Lake, MN
  • Country: USA
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): n/a
  • Additional Information (if any):

I am requesting the removal of the current cover photo for a specific Wayspot, as it no longer represents what exists at the location.

There is currently no clear or appropriate option to report and remove a cover photo in this situation. While adding a new photo is possible, it does not resolve the issue of the existing invalid image remaining in place, and it places unnecessary burden on the community to try to override it through voting.

This is not a matter of photo quality or preference, but of factual accuracy. The Wayspot should not display a cover photo of something that no longer exists.

I would appreciate if this cover photo could be reviewed and removed so that the Wayspot accurately reflects the current real-world object.

Welcome to the forum! I saw your posts in reverse order, I think.
You can follow the advice I gave here for this one, too.

Or you can use the “Wayspot Removals” form linked at the top here, which is also for modifications:

We have taken another look, and we’ve decided to remove the old image of the Wayspot.
