Are you trying to get the wrongly assigned photos removed? Help chat at Niantic Wayfarer can help with that.

I hope they can be swapped to the correct wayspot, is that also an option?

I don’t know. I have only had them do removals.

If they can’t do that, then you can submit the photos as edits to the correct Wayspot.

The wrongly assigned photos aren’t mine. How can I make a back-up/download them?

Hmm… If they are not your photos, then that would be abuse to download and resubmit them. My apologies for assuming they were yours.

No worries. However, it would a shame if these photos can’t be swapped, because they are both more recent/higher quality.

I hope they can! Let us know.

Hey, me again. I don’t know why, but the only option to click on in the chat (wayspot edits) is location edits >10. I can’t select any other category whatsoever.

the correct path for photo issues would be to go to “report abuse”, not edits

sorry i am so used to that i don’t even think to mention. any criteria stuff is in the abuse path. idk why they did it that way.

Oh, weird… In this case it’s not abuse at all. One was marked as duplicate of the wrong wayspot and the other one was my younger brother who selected the wrong wayspot by accident.

right it is just to get to criteria issues. it will not be considered abuse unless it was abuse.

yeah, what cyndie said. It’s basically just packed under that route but applies to any case related to photos even if it doesn’t fall under the category where you would expect it to be there

May be a good topic to adress for the Niantic Support!

if you don’t feel comfortable with that, you could try the form for modification linked at the top of the forum:

I find that very difficult to use since the things I want to report don’t match the options given but just pick one and then tell them what you want done. If you get an automated reply asking for your credentials as property owner after telling them you are not the property owner, do not reply to it.
