Each wayspot needs to meet at least one of Exploration, Social or Exercise criteria.
A trail marker meets Exercise criteria. Having a rejection for something that can only possibly meet Exploration criteria and complaining that trail markers are not unique and historical and have no cultural meaning is missing the point. They don’t need to meet Exploration criteria as they meet Exercise criteria.
You need to sell your submission to reviewers, to show them that this is a point of Exploration. Your description does not do this.
The rejection reason you see indicates that reviewers marked this as a “Generic Business.” You need to convince if you feel this is worth exploring as something interesting.
We cannot see the supporting information. It could have been eligible for something we don’'t know. It might have been incorrectly accepted.
Reviewers are human and make mistakes.
There is definitely criteria and there is very little luck involved in wayspot submissions. Sometimes you will get something that is rejected the first time and accepted the second. Maybe the first time it was accepted by 45 out of 100 reviewers and the second time by 55 out of 100 reviewers. Just a slight change but enough to tip it over 50% and make it accepted. (We don’t know the way review decision are decided; this is hypothetical.)
When a submission is eligible, has nothing wrong with it, has a decent title and description, it will be accepted 99% of the time. No luck needed.
In some parts of the world, data imports were made by Niantic in order to enable Pokemon Go to be played. This may have been one of those with a photo added later through an edit. Would you like to share the location of the hospital so we can see if it was an import?
It’s a large corporate office for an auto parts manufacturer. You need to convince reviewers that it meets exploration, socialization or exercise criteria. You description didn’t do that. It didn’t even say what “Valeo” is.
