All my PokeStop Submissions are rejected.... Need help to find the reason why

Hi. I submitted 4 or 5 pois. Some got rejected with a reason I can understand (duplicate, probably not permanent), but some got automatically rejected and I don’t know where the problem is. I would like to know, so I can do better in the future.

Good day and welcome to the forum!

The contribution page can only show 2 rejection reasons at a time. The ML/AI filter does feel odd sometimes.

However for the example above, it may be working as intended IMO. There doesn’t seem to be a compelling detail that separates the stairs from generic infrastructure. The supporting text also do not provide how it is an interesting point. You will need to explain how it makes sense for people who haven’t been at the hotel. Game reasons are also poor reasons to add. It is better to keep the reasoning within the eligibility criteria:

  • A great place for exploration

  • A great place for exercise

  • A great place to be social with others

I can glimmer the first one based on the description, you can elaborate the details of the forest walk and its relevance to the destination itself.

OK, going to try it. But I have seen way less interesting or exciting stops. So the description makes the difference?! Thanks

You shouldnt use existing wayspot as comparison. Some wayspot might be incorrectly approved in the past or it might be imported which doesnt follow standard wayfarer criteria

Also, existing waystops might have something about them that means they meet the eligibility criteria (Exploration, Exercise, Social) without this being obvious to you.

One thing about the Exercise criteria - being somewhere where you can exercise is not sufficient, because that is everything everywhere (almost) all the time. It needs to be something that is intentionally for/promoting exercise.

The description can make a difference for a borderline submission, meaning one which is eligible but reviewers could go either way. When the description is short and little effort was put into it, suggesting that the submitter didn’t spend much time and therefore doesn’t really care about it, a borderline submission will suffer.

When an object is not eligible, a fantastic description won’t help much, because it is still ineligible.
