Same poi. One is good the other is not approved

How is it possible that the first one was accepted and the other wasn’t? These are at least 100 meters apart and are unique. They both have different names. They’re also both part of the same walk. I really don’t understand why this one was rejected for this reason… it has historical value, after all. Between the HIPPO.WAR visitor center and the Flanders Fields American Cemetery, a walk has been marked with 411 sidewalk nails. These represent the 368 American soldiers buried in that cemetery and the 43 soldiers listed as missing.

I think the reason they gave you is a little off, but I’m not sure I would have voted to accept the 2nd one either.

What is distinct about the second star? The 2 look alike. How would I know which one to go to if you nominate more than 1?

In this case, I think I would have nominated the whole line or row of stars as a single object. And then, in the description, explain how many stars there are, who they represent, and when they were installed. Since you have 1 accepted, you could edit the text and title to do that.

I understand your frustration that one was approved while the other wasn’t. However, not all reviewers are familiar with the criterias. It’s possible that a submission that should have been approved was rejected due to an incorrect review. Of course, the opposite can also happen. You’re complaining that one of the same items was approved while the other was not accepted. From what I can see, both stars appear identical to me, and I can’t discern any difference. I cannot be certain that the accepted one was the correct decision.

I would probably review the 2nd as duplicate unless you can provide evidence why they can be separated

It looks like they have differentnames on the stars

there are more of these star that where approved. and the names are different.

the names are different for the stars.

They’re all different stars. I prove that with the different names on them. They’ve been there since 2017, and I’ve also explained why they’re important and what they’re for. There are two other stars on the path with different names that have been approved.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t necessarily mean these stars are all individually eligible. Reviewers sometimes accept things they shouldn’t or they could be older before there was more discussion about nominating things as sets.

You asked why it would be rejected and I gave you my viewpoint on how these might be seen. A case like this doesn’t necessarily have a right or wrong answer.

okay thanks I will give it a other try and see what happens.

Are you saying there are 411 of these stars?

With so many of it, i am more inclined to get them as a set instead of submitting individual.

you but spread over 17km so more than enough room between the stars.

There are many clarifications about submitting a collection as one poi.

This is why we feel that the trail of stars could be a great poi, but maybe not each individual star. You would really need to convince that each specific star is a significant point of interest in itself.

And I can see how this was marked as a sensitive location. This is a somber memorial.
