Iām not quite understanding what you are saying here. Are you having trouble getting your Wayspot nominations approved? If this is the case, please feel free to post screenshots of your nominations, and we would be glad to take a look at them.
I think by the lightning bolt, you are referring to an upgraded nomination, but those still are not guaranteed to be approved. Upgrades just open your nominations up to a larger review area, which may help get to a resolution sooner; an upgraded nomination can still be rejected. More info on upgrades can be found here:

If you have some specific nominations that you would like to have some feedback on please do post the whole nomination - both photos, text and location. We can then see if there is an issue we can help with.
It is good that you are reviewing and earning upgrades.
If you want to carefully control which nominations these are applied to, you need to ensure that you have the automatically apply option switched off. Go to settings on the wayfarer site.
Upgrades send your nomination to a wider pool of reviewers so it can lead to a much quicker result, but it may be the reviewers are less familiar with your area.
Try to ensure that the supplementary information would help someone that is unfamiliar with the area.
