Significant delays in Aragon, Spain: Nominations stuck "In Voting" for months

Hi everyone,

I’m writing to see if other explorers in Aragon, Spain, are experiencing similar issues with review times.

I currently have a high volume of nominations pending. While some are still In Queue (which is expected), I have several others that have been In Voting for over 2 months without any movement.

It feels like the system has hit a local bottleneck. I’ve made sure my nominations meet the criteria, but the lack of resolution is becoming a bit discouraging.

Region: Aragon, Spain
Status: Multiple nominations stuck In Voting for 60+ days.
Question: Is this a known issue in regional Spain right now, or is there a specific lack of reviewers in this area?

I would appreciate any insights or advice from the community or the Niantic team. Thanks!

Does upgrading the nomination help? There should be plenty of reviewers in Spain

I ran out of upgrades. And yeah, I thougt so, but I don’t know. Seems like i’m experiencing a drought, that is why I asked here, to see id someone had the same issue.

Maybe look up the threads people have made for Boston, that’s a similar issue I can think of

I am noticing the same thing in rural USA. My nominations used to get decisions within a week or so but as of late February everything is stuck. My oldest has been in active voting for 52 days. None of my newer submissions are moving either. Would you consider yourself rural? (Abouth 150mi/ 200km from any large population centers)

I am rural yes, I’m not that far from a Big city, but I live on a town of 600, so i’m small yeah. On top of that, as far as I know, I’m the only one playing hahaha.
So yeah, I’m not glad someone is having the same probelm as I do, but maybe there is an issue and we don’t know.

I have nomination on 11 Apr 2026 that got accepted in 18 and 22 Apr. So i guess thats local issue. Please know that wayfarer is run by community. If you think the speed is slow you need to enggage your local community (country wide) to help reviewing and reduce the queue (the review range is actually quite big up and can reach to neighbouring country).alternately review more yourself and get upgrade to bring your review to more people.

In addition, not all nomination can be quick to be reviewed. Some nomination in grey area might take longer because many people will choose skip. This kind of case will require nominator to put in extra effort to convince reviewer.

That is not the issue I’m worried about. The problem is that suddenly review times got a lot longer. At the beginning of the year things moved pretty fast but then all of a sudden everything got stuck. It’s possible that something changed with the review algorithm. People in cities are still seeing very fast reviews but rural areas no longer get a boost.

Well only staff can clarify what happen behind screen. If staff didnt clarify anything, its possible that reviewer in your area are reducing.

Si, en eso estoy completamente de acuerdo, no me estaba quejando de que no me la aceptarán o que fuera lento, era más por si había algún problema y yo no me había enterado.

Si, debería nominar más, suelo dejarlo de lado porque se me olvida o estoy más atareado. Las veces que he conseguido una upgrade me ha venido súper bien porque se ha aprobado o cancelado casi al día siguiente.

Muchísimas gracias por todas vuestras respuestas, prefería escribir esto en mi idioma natal porque siento que me explico mucho mejor jajaja.
