Subject: PokéStop Nomination Rejection – Request for Clarification

Dear Wayfarer Team,
Several of my PokéStop nominations have been rejected, but the rejection messages only contain the same generic explanation and do not clearly state what specific criteria the nominations failed to meet.
I try to follow the Wayfarer guidelines carefully when submitting locations. However, without specific feedback, it is difficult to understand what needs to be corrected or improved.
Could you please provide more detailed information about why these nominations were rejected?
Thank you for your time.
Kind regards,
Tbknudsen

Welcome to the forum!

Most of us who do the most talking here are not Niantic staff, but they do read posts here.

The rejection reason is not given in the email. It will be found on your contributions if you go to https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/nominations

Since your email says it was rejected by the team, and not the community, then either it was an in house review or a rejection by the machine learning model filter. If it was the latter, then it will say “automated process” in the rejection reason.

If you will provide screenshots from your contribution, then we can try to advise. I don’t recognize what this thing in your photo is, so I will leave it to others to help from here. But the last thing I wanted to say is that you can appeal a nomination from that contributions page that you feel was incorrectly rejected, even if it was rejected by the team. You get two appeals, each on a 15 day counter before you can use it again. The button to appeal will be missing if you don’t have one to use.

I will put the text here from the email as Google translated it for me

Old road marker - The Royal Road This old stone marks the historic road between Svendborg and Nyborg. Along the royal roads, such stones were used to show direction and distance to travelers. The stone stands as a reminder of the time when traders, farmers and the king’s messengers traveled through Skårup on their way across Funen. A lot of people pass by every day, as it is the main artery between Svendborg and Nyborg. So many travelers every day, as well as a small local community, with many local players. Close to public transport too.

To me, this appears to be on SFPRP (Single Family Private Residential Property) on Street View, and does not seem like it would be eligible no matter what it is:

Thanks a lot for the help. I’m glad I got some assistance. It was rejected automatically by the system, so I think you’re right that it probably just looks like private property — but it isn’t, so it probably just needs a human to take a look at it.

If that house is a single family private residence, then this gatepost (I can see there are a pair of them visible on street view) would be considered part of the property boundary, and as anything on the property boundary is still considered part of the property for the purposes of wayfarer, it would be ineligible and shouldn’t be resubmitted.

I would submit this instead
