I would like to request an appeal for my 30-day ban. I’m honestly confused about the situation because I haven’t done anything different from what I’ve always done on the platform. The two thing I did was buy a new iPad, and request a restaurant — one with awards and a long history — and when it was denied, I submitted an appeal. Immediately after that, I was banned for 30 days.
I want to apologize if my actions caused any inconvenience. That was never my intention.
However, the ban message I received is very unclear, and I would really appreciate knowing the exact reason for the ban. Understanding what happened will help me avoid any issues in the future. I haven’t received any messages from no_reply@nianticlabs.com
Thank you for taking the time to review my appeal. I hope we can resolve this soon.
Good day and welcome to the forum albeit the circumstance.
You can appeal using the form found at the bottom of the article. However, I recommend waiting for an email stating an example infraction to start off with your defence.
If you also have a copy of the submission email of your suspected infraction, it would help us check what may have run afoul.
Unfortunately, for now I only have what you see in the images. I’ll wait for the email detailing the example infraction so I can prepare my appeal properly. In the meantime, I do have a copy of the submission email related to the restaurant request, and I’m happy to provide it if it helps clarify what went wrong.
The information contained within the submission can also be a cause of the ban. That includes the text, photos, and pin location. Hence, I was asking for the nomination as submitted.
The links are helpful to substantiate any claim made within that nomination though.
I little higher in that email you can find the submission text (in your screenshot we can see a bit of that text but it’s cut off). Could you provide a screenshot of the submitted text too?
