Wayfarer Account Suspended for 30 days for a False Accusation

My Wayfarer Account got suspended for 30 days. Got a mail saying

“Following a report and an internal investigation performed by our team, we have confirmed that you have been submitting Wayspot nominations that do not meet our criteria. As a result of this violation, your Wayfarer and Pokémon GO/Ingress accounts have been suspended for 30 days. Please note that this suspension will commence from the time you log into your Pokémon GO/Ingress account and acknowledge the suspension. Therefore, please log in to your account as soon as possible and acknowledge the punishment to avoid any further delays.”

So the reason was

Here is an example of the violation mentioned above:
Title: Clock Tower Ovitigama
Context: The aforementioned Wayspot nomination does not meet our eligibility criteria, as it does not exist at the nominated location/location misplaced.

This was a wayspot submitted by me. Nomination is legit. There is a small clock tower at the location. But got a softban saying location does exists.
It’s False accusation

Is there anything to do here? Sure I can wait 30 days. But is there way or process to appeal or something?

(Newbie here! New to the game. Only 3-4 months to Ingress Prime)

There should be a link in one of the emails to appeal your suspension. If you don’t have it anymore, the link is also at the bottom of the page here:

I would suggest appealing the 30 day suspension. If you are able to go out and submit a Scaniverse splat or take a Photo with embedded GPS / Metadata as well as take a quick video of the area where the clock tower is and the area immediately around where the clock tower is, it may add weight to the appeal if needed as evidence.

Thank you for the response! I can’t login in to the wayfarer due to the ban

I think appeal button only appears if it’s rejected but AI. this nomination was rejected after the voting round. Location is valid. I don’t know, maybe other players reported it. However rejection is fine. I’m more concerned about my account.

This is a different kind of appeal:

Oh there were three mails. I checked now, one of them had a link at the bottom. Thank you. I’ll send a appeal through that.

Well, Ingress players, as of April 15th, can no longer submit nominations and/or edits, due to the sale of Wayfarer to Scopely, and Ingress staying with the new Spatial. Only PoGo players can submit to Wayfarer at this time.

As for the submission, did your supporting photo show the clock tower with the surrounding area, or just the surrounding area? It’s important to include a supporting photo of both the POI being submitted AND the surrounding area. This could have caused a rejection, especially if the clock tower isn’t available on satellite and/or Street View.

in PoGo, it does say to take a photo of the surrounding area, and not including what is nominated in the supporting photo is a common mistake that many new Wayfinders do. Many of us have asked that the wording be changed to note that the supporting photo include the POI and surrounding area, but nothing has been done.

If you still have the emails you received when you submitted the Wayspot, it will show the full nomination, along with both photos. It may be worth taking a look at them, and reviewing if the supporting photos you have taken do support the existance of what you are nominating.
