Suspended without anymail

I got suspended 30days and don’t know why. I found out about this through pokemon go, after asking my friends about it, they said it was probably because of wayfarer, so i wanted to find out the reason. Somebody help me pls. And sorry about my english, its not good.

Maybe you linked your account to google or fb, the appeals go to linked email.

But ban mail go to email you use when registration into the game

It may not be Wayfarer related, as you can get a suspension from one of the games.

Do you know if you’ve used any other email addresses in the past? Niantic would have sent an email to the email address associated with your account when you signed up sometimes. You may also want to check your junk/spam mail to see if it ended up in there.

It is true that I have used another email before. Thank you for answering some of my questions. But unfortunately that email has been deleted, I can’t access it anymore. However, I still want to know why I was locked out for 30 days, I have never been locked before. I have appealed about being locked out of my account but have not yet received a response, which is different from you, who responded to me immediately. I’ve been waiting for 2 or 3 days, it’s so worrying. Thank you guys

Again, this might not be Wayfarer related, as one can receive a suspension related to any Niantic product. Staff do monitor the forums, so hopefully one can at least confirm whether or not the suspension is connected to Wayfarer or not.

These forums only deal with Wayfarer, not other Niantic products, so if it isn’t Wayfarer related, there might not be much info provided.

It might be possible for a member of the wayfarer team to make a basic comment. So I would wait to see if there is any response.

That’s one reason it may be. But it may also be nothing to do with Wayfarer.

No one but staff can give more info, and they may only be able to give some basic info, especially if this isn’t Wayfarer related. The response may not be immediate, but they do typically give some info.

I wouldn’t rely on your friend’s word that this ban looks different than other bans, as I would like to assume that your friend isn’t a staff member.

Also, a ban for one Niantic product typically affects all Niantic products. So, if this was a ban for Wayfarer, which you still haven’t answered if you do partake in, then it will be a ban for all Niantic products, including games like PoGo and Ingress.

Wayfarer is where users submit new places of interest to be Wayspots on the Spatial/Lightship map, which is used by Niantic games to determine game play locations, with some exceptions. We can also submit edits to existing Wayspots, such as title/description/location/photo.

Because we do not know what Niantic product this ban came from, we don’t want to give you any incorrect or inaccurate info, or send you to the wrong place to appeal your ban. So, right now, we just have to wait for staff to take a look.

I see where you said “I have appealed about being locked out of my account.” Did you submit an appeal through this form?

They don’t remember from the email what the ban was for or which product it was from, which is why no one has directed them yet to where they need to submit an appeal.

They said they submitted an appeal:

I asked if they used that form to appeal. I did not direct them to use that form.

What purpose did you have in replying to me about this? I do not get your point.

They said they appealed, but never said to what product, and there are different appeal forms for each. I think we just need to wait until staff says something at this point.

Please dont shut down someone trying to help, Cyndie asked a completely valid and useful question.

I did not know if Cyndie had fully read all that had been said beforehand, such as the fact that they submitted an appeal but never said to which product, and I wanted to make sure. I also don’t want the OP to be confused, which they seem to have gotten some confusing info from a friend already.

I’m not shutting anyone down; at this point though, it’s just best to wait for staff to communicate with the OP.

As explained previously in the other thread, I see that your account is suspended for violation(s) in Wayfarer. If you haven’t received the email, please create an appeal and the team will share all relevant details. Thanks,

There are many things that can be improved with a little consideration. In this case, we think you should attach a link to file an objection. You can set your language preference at the bottom center of the page. You can change from English to your native language.
